Jackson Lee Scott Sr. Jackson Lee Scott, Sr., Oct 2, 1936 - Jan 10, 2023. Jackson L. Scott, Sr., 86, a lifelong resident of Hinton, WV joined our Lord on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, after a short illness. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather whose example of commitment to family will live on for generations. A graduate of Hinton High School in 1954, Jack would serve the next four years in the US Navy before returning home to attend Concord College and the WV School of Banking. Jack began his banking career with the First National Bank of Hinton, where he eventually became Executive Vice President. He guided the bank’s move to its new facility on Temple Street, currently the home to Summit Bank. After retiring, Jack, and wife Donna, owned and operated Humpty Dumpty Day Care in Hinton for over 20 years, providing a safe and much needed childcare facility for the community. Jack was a proud West Virginian who loved his hometown and believed there were always better days ahead. A huge Mountaineer fan, Jack never missed a football or basketball game on TV. His love for hunting and golf with family and with his longtime friend Davis “Tink” Ritter spanned almost 5 decades and provided the content for many of the unlimited stories he loved to tell about their exploits. Jack was an Elk Member for over 60 Years and served as the club’s secretary/ treasurer for over 20 years. But Jack will most be remembered for his love of family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Maycle Scott, and brothers, Randolph and Jerry. Those left to cherish his memories are the love of his life and wife of 64 years, Donna Sue; three children, Kim and husband Dan Crane, Jack and wife Kristi Scott, Paula and husband Billy Rhodes; five grandchildren - Jeff, Jared, Russell, Taylor and Ellie; two great grandchildren, August and Koda; and one brother, Steve.2 He was born on October 2, 1936 at Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia.4,2 He married Donna Sue Lang on January 3, 1959 at Hinton, Summers Co., West Virginia.4 Jackson Lee Scott Sr. died on January 10, 2023 at West Virginia at age 86.2

Lois Ann Gunnoe Lois Ann (Gunnoe) Lawrence, 80, residing in Sandusky, passed away Friday, January 26, 2024 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness. Lois Ann was born on July 23, 1943 in Hinton, WV to the late Burton and Virginia (Michael) Gunnoe. Lois Ann graduated from Peterstown High School in 1961. She attended Concord College in Athens, WV. She married her late husband Donald G. Lawrence on January 18, 1980. She was employed at Cedar Point for over 35 years in the Planning and Design department. She was an avid reader, gardener, all Ohio sports fan, and spending time with her grandchildren. She attended Huron United Methodist Church. Lois Ann is survived by her son, Joseph (Toni) Hess, III of Milan, Ohio, stepdaughter, Debra Failor of Greenville, S.C; stepson, David A. Lawrence of Sandusky; grandchildren, Jessica and Nicole Hess, Chad, and Amanda Lawrence, Christine (Roy) Moses; several great-grandchildren; sister, Sue "Susie" (Keith) Wykle of Georgia; boyfriend, Jim Colvin, Sr. of Bellevue, OH, nieces Sara and Amanda of Georgia and several other relatives. In addition to her parents, Lois Ann is preceded in death by husband, Donald G. Lawrence in 2014, and step-grandchild, Daniel Lawrence in 2021. Don was born Feb. 13, 1934, in West Newton, Pa., to George Lawrence and Kathryn (Wolfbrandt) Lawrence Leaser. Don was a 1952 graduate from Sandusky High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force who proudly served his country actively from 1953-1957 and was inactive from 1957-1961. He had previously been employed for Central Exterminating and Coca-Cola. He retired from Norfolk and Southern Railroad in Bellevue in 1989. Don was a member of American Legion, NRA and BLE. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting anything and everything, particularly vehicles and Coca-Cola memorabilia. Don is survived by his wife, Lois Ann (Gunnoe) Lawrence, whom he married Jan. 18, 1980; daughter, Deborah Failor of Greenville, S.C; son, David A. Lawrence of Sandusky; step son, Joe (Toni) Hess of Sandusky; grandchildren, Chad, Danny and Amanda Lawrence, Christine (Roy) Moses, Jessica and Nicole Hess; four great-grandchildren; sister, Sue Crandall of Sandusky; former wife, Sara Garlock of Sandusky; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many close friends. In addition to his father passing in 1936, and his mother passing in 1988, Don was preceded in death by his step father, Bernell "Jack" Leaser in 1986; brother, James Plasman; and sister, Dorothy Flanagan.
