A brother, Jack, died while in the armed services during World War II. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Crab Orchard Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Withers and the Rev. Shirley Donnelly in charge. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Okey Mills, W. P. Riffe Jr., Gene Elliott and Robert Deck and Larry Priddy. on January 13, 1974.3

Belcher died on April 13, 2010 at Morgantown, Monongalia Co., West Virginia, at age 82.4,2 She MORGANTOWN — Ethel Rose, 82, a resident of the Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown for the past several years, and formerly of Daybrook, died Tuesday, April 13, 2010, in the nursing facility. Mrs. Rose was born November 1, 1927, at Maitland, W.Va., a daughter of the late Isaac Belcher and Minnie Helvey Belcher. Ethel was a homemaker and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Richard Rose, and five sisters Louise Belcher, Cynthia Belcher, Virgie Belcher, Rachel Belcher, and Thelma Belcher; and two brothers, Jesse Belcher and Basil Belcher. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie Lee Rose and his wife Redis of Pineville, W.Va; one brother, Jim Belcher of Howard, Ohio and one sister, Bonnie Matthews of Morgantown. Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday and at the Calfee Funeral Home in Pineville, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home in Pineville at 11 a.m. Friday. Interment will follow in the Palm Memorial Gardens at Matheny. on April 13, 2010.2
