Born April 19, 1923, at Wickham, she was the daughter of the late William M. and Sadie Mentz Pennington. Mrs. Alley was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Alley; two sisters; and one brother. Survivors include a son, Roy Alley of Charleston; and six sisters, Gladys Bond of Mabscott, Decillion Tate of Grandview, Lillian Cullip of Beckley, Brida Fowle of Beckley, Redempha Akers of Dunn, and Arizona Jones of Haleysville, Ala. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Calfee Cemetery, Mount Tabor, with the Rev. Denver Carter officiating. Born January 17, 1928 at Dothan, WV, he was the son of the late Hensley and Blanche Radford Webb. He was a retired Manager for Bell Atlantic Telephone Company with 39 years of service. Mr. Webb was a member of the United Methodist Temple, Beckley, WV. He was a member of the W.B.B.I. Air Stream Club, Telephone Pioneers and the American Legion Post #32, Beckley, WV. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War having attained the rank of Tech 5. Mr. WebbÂ's favorite pastime was making music. During his winter stays in Arizona, he was the MC of a weekly jam. He also enjoyed woodworking and crafting furniture for many family members and friends. His specialty was the C.O. stool which can be found in many homes across the country. In his church in Beckley, he contributed various pieces of furniture throughout. He was preceded in death by his two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Andrew Lively and Lettie and Raymond Young, in addition to brother-in-law George Jones. As an active local businessman, George was the founder of Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. He was an organizer and first president of the Fayette Plateau Chamber of Commerce as well an organizer and first parade grand marshal of the WV Sports Festival. He was a graduate of Collins High School in Oak Hill. George was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict. Two sisters, Natella Jean Blackwell and Beulah Louise Pemberton preceded him in death.      Gloria R. Goodson was buried at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill, Fayette Co., West Virginia.^3,2 She Gloria R. Goodson Webb, 95, of Parkersburg, WV died at home on February 4, 2022. She was born on June 20, 1926, in Ward, WV and was the daughter of Floyd and Nola Goodson. Mrs. Webb moved from Beckley, WV in 2012 and relocated to Colonial House in Parkersburg, WV which became like home. She was a member of Stout Memorial United Methodist Church in Parkersburg and previously a 35-year member of Beckley Temple United Methodist Church. In her earlier life, Mrs. Webb was a homemaker and Girl Scout leader. She is remembered by many for her homemade bread, rolls, biscuits and delicious baking. She and her husband spent their retirement years traveling throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico as members of the W.B.B.I. Air Stream Club. They spent winters in Arizona where she enjoyed water aerobics and arts and crafts. She learned stained glass art, 3D art and sand/zipper art. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert "Hank" Webb of 62 years, sisters Rebecca, Helen and Lottie and brothers Truman, Earnest, Vernon and Anderson Davidson ("A.D."). She is survived by son Barry Webb of Morgantown, WV, daughter Cindy Gaines and husband George of Gilbert, AZ and Susan Woods and husband Tom of Vienna, WV; grandchildren Eryck Webb and wife Kristina and Adrya Webb; sister-in-law Christine Jones; and daughter-in-love Darlene Powers. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews who were very special to her. The family wishes to thank her private caregivers Amy Blake and Judy Trujillo, as well as the Colonial House staff for the attention and love she received. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill.² She was born on June 20, 1926 at Ward, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.^1,3,2 As of November 24, 1948,her married name was Webb.¹ She married Robert Hensley "Hank" Webb Jr., son of Hensley Harold Webb and Lula Blanche Radford, on November 24, 1948 at Dothan, Fayette Co., West Virginia.^1,2 Gloria R. Goodson died on February 4, 2022 at Parkersburg, Wood Co., West Virginia, at age 95.^3,2

     Orpha "Orphy" Spade was born on April 14, 1900 at Summers Co., West Virginia.² As of August 3, 1925,her married name was Radford.¹ She married William Edward "Bill" Radford, son of Simon Peter "Pete" Radford and Harriett Frances Webb, on August 3, 1925 at Fayette Co., West Virginia.¹ Orpha "Orphy" Spade died on December 27, 1926 at Oak Hill, Fayette Co., West Virginia, at age 26.²
