She was an avid fan of WVU sports and the Atlanta Braves. Once her illness confined her to the home, she enjoyed watching The Waltons and The Price is Right. She was a member of Oak Grove Christian Church. She enjoyed her flower gardens and the company of her beloved dog, Teddy, whom she referred to as Mawmaw's baby, until his death in May. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Iris Ann Clyburn, two brothers, Basil William Riffe Jr. (Bill) and John R. Riffe, and her dearest friends, Betty Jones and Janet Farley. She is survived by her husband, Charles Lacy of Beckley, who has not only devoted almost 56 years of his life to loving her but has also spent many of those years caring for her and providing for her so that she could remain in her home through her illness, a daughter, Lesa Williams of Beckley, and two sons, Jeffrey Lacy and his wife Cheryl of Daniels, and Mark Lacy and his wife Sandra of Indiana; seven grandchildren, Heather James and her husband Jeff of Beckley, Stephanie Rubin and her husband Jason of Beckley, Brandon Lacy and his wife Rebecca of Mt. Hope, Chad Williams of Beckley, Amber Sibert and her husband Chris of Indiana, Travis and Hunter Lacy of Indiana; three great-grandchildren, Konner James of Beckley, Graham Sibert of Indiana, and Jase Harrison of Indiana; two sisters, Doris (Kenny) Treadway and Helen Thompson; several nieces and nephews a host of close friends. A celebration of her life will be held at Melton Mortuary at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 23. The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pastor Kelly Gowen will officiate.
