Judith Ann "Judy" Bailey was buried at Montgomery Memorial Park, Route 60, London, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.1 She was born on September 8, 1942 at Montgomery, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.1 As of April 16, 1960,her married name was Shawkey.2 She married Charles Dennis Shawkey, son of Harry Shawkey and Maizie Evelyn Hughes, on April 16, 1960 at Handley, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.1,2 Judith Ann "Judy" Bailey died on July 23, 2015 at West Virginia at age 72.1 She Judith Ann Shawkey, 72, of Boomer, passed away July 23, 2015 after a two-year battle with lymphoma and complications of pneumonia. She was born Sept. 8, 1942 in Montgomery and was the daughter of the late James E. and Margaret Bobbitt Bailey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Shawkey, and her niece, Amanda Poff. Judy was employed at City National Bank in Montgomery with 37 years of service. Surviving are her children, Rebecca Lynn Ballard and her husband, Donald L., of London and Charles Dennis Shawkey of Boomer; sister, Elizabeth Poff of Pratt; and grandchildren, Charles Dirk Ballard, Brittany Middleton, Cheyenne Danae Ballard, Derek Butterworth and Gianna Grace Shawkey. Judy was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother who sacrificed everything for her family. Service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at O'Dell Funeral Home, Montgomery, with the Rev. Gary Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park, London. on July 26, 2015.1

Carl Edward Wilson Treadway Carl Edward Treadway, 78, of Oak Hill, WV, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020, at his home. He was born October 1, 1941, in Gallipolis, OH, a son of the late Woodrow Wilson Treadway and Evelyn Sarah (Riggleman) Treadway. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Treadway; and one sister, Louise Schwertner. Carl served his country honorably in the United States Army and retired from the United Steelworkers after 35 years service. In his spare time, he loved the great outdoors where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also liked watching boxing. He is survived by a daughter, Carla Ervin of Oak Hill; one son, Wayne Treadway of Ashland, KY; mother of his children and companion, JoAnn Cox; a sister, Betty Watson of Cross Lanes, WV; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A graveside service and burial will be at the Bowcott Cemetery in Frazier Bottom, WV.
