Dorothy May Martin Dorothy May Dilley, age 62, of Bardstown, returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. Ms. Dilley was born in Oak Hill, West Virginia on October 24, 1959 to the late Harry Clarene Martin and Ida Shockey Martin. She was a passionate volunteer for CASA of Bardstown, the owner and president of D&D Utility Contractors and she was very involved in the lives of her beloved grandchildren. In addition to her parents, her sisters, Patricia Martin, Georgia Martin Jones; brother, Harry Wayne Martin and son-in-law, Robert Donaldson, Jr. preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Jennifer Dilley (Brandon Hays) and Jessica Donaldson (Keith Sykes); grandchildren, Tyler Teague, Hailey Donaldson, Robert Donaldson, III and Chloe Radford; great-grandchild, Aries Teague; her former husband (of 38 years), George Dilley; siblings, Clarence Martin (Carolyn), Linda Martin Sears (John) and JoAnn Martin Cox and a host of other dear family and friends. Burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.2 She was buried at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 4608 Cedar Grove Road, Shepherdsville, Bullitt Co., Kentucky.2 Her married name was Dilley.2 She married George Dilley.2 Dorothy May Martin was born on October 24, 1959 at Oak Hill, Fayette Co., West Virginia.3,2 She died on February 24, 2022 at Bardstown, Nelson Co., Kentucky, at age 62.2

Dennis Dean Eye was buried at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Hurricane, Putnam Co., West Virginia.3 He was born on April 30, 1954 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.4,2,3 He married Jacqueline Ann Shockey, daughter of Jack Shockey and Doris Jean Paris, circa 1983.1,2,3 Dennis Dean Eye died on May 10, 2008 at West Virginia at age 54; The SSDI has a death date of May 11, 2008.4,2,3 He Dennis Dean Eye went on his own terms to be with the Lord on May 10, 2008, after suffering a long, painful illness. He was born on April 30, 1954, in Charleston to Naomi Eye and the late Osbra Eye . Dennis was a Christian, a loving husband, father, son, brother, and an avid athlete. He was also an outdoorsman, having grown up in Kanawha State Forest where his father was superintendent for many years. He loved cats, both house pets and ones of the wild, and sorely missed his "little buddy Macy." A 1972 graduate of George Washington High School, Dennis attended Marshall University on a track scholarship, and he held the record for the 800-meter dash for more than 20 years after his 1976 graduation. While at Marshall, Dennis also started boxing competitively and soon became a Golden Gloves champion. Before his illness, Dennis had resumed competitive running and participated successfully in several local 5K road races. A hard worker even as a young teen caddying at Berry Hills Country Club, Dennis worked for several years for Charleston Parks and Recreation at North Charleston Community Center and he also worked for several years at General Technologies in St. Albans. He later worked as a maintenance mechanic at Great Lakes in Nitro until the plant closed. He had most recently worked at Putnam General Hospital. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Jackie; his dear daughter, Katie; his mother, Naomi Eye of Shady Spring; his brother, Mark and his wife, Lisa, of Beckley; his four sisters, their husbands, and their families, Jeanne and Charlie Moses of Cross Lanes, Rose and Timmy Brown of St. Albans, Debbie and Joe Sloan of Colquitt, Ga., and Sherry and Fred Gay of Virginia Beach, Va. He also shared a close relationship with his in-laws, Bonnie and Colonel Howie Hill of Hurricane, David Shockey of Oak Hill, Doris Shockey of Fayetteville, and Catherine and Arden Gravely of Oak Hill. Dennis is also survived by his uncles, Herbert Eye and Jimmy Eye and their families. on May 13, 2008.2

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his daughter, Angela Dawn Porter of Victorville, Calif; son, Robert Dale Porter of Victorville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Andrew "Chuck" and Carolyn Porter and James Randall "Jim" and Vicki Porter, all of Ligonier; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Betty Bailes of Charleston, Karen Rollins of Ligonier, Pam and Johnny Johnston of Cromwell; 10 nieces and nephews, Charles E. "Scott" Porter, Aimee Ray, Dani Rollins, Sean Rollins, Christopher Johnston, Jimmy Porter, Andy Porter, Savannah Porter, Evan Porter and Jack Bailes; three grandsons, Jonathan Porter, Zachary Porter and Jacob Porter; and three great-nephews, Brandon Ray, Noah Ray and Isaac Michael "Ikey Mikey" Porter. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Route 1, Fayetteville, with military rites conducted by VFW Post 3110, Oak Hill. on June 29, 2003.2
