He was born in Clay, W. Va., and had been an Akron resident for most of his life. He was a self-employed entrepreneur with several business ventures to his credit. He was a member of the Sons of Italy Marconi Branch, coached CYO baseball and football, and was a horse trainer, his passion, for over 30 years. Mr. Scofield is survived by his wife of 47 years, Roseann; daughter and son-in-law, Robin and David Watson of Akron; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Tina of Green, Randall and Pam of Green, and Ronald of Canton; grandchildren, Christopher Watson, Steven, Brianna, Patrick, Spencer, and Riley Scofield, Randy Scofield II, and Candice Scofield; brothers, Donald (Ginerva) of Pittsburgh and Larry (Nancy) of Tampa, Fla; sisters, Nancy (Robert) Rankin of Ashland and Denise Eldridge of Dayton; uncle, Andrew Scofield of Akron; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. on March 23, 2004.3

     Robert Allan Rankin was buried at Hillside Memorial Park, 1025 Canton Road, Akron, Summit Co., Ohio.4 He was born on December 30, 1942 at Akron, Summit Co., Ohio; The Ohio birth records have a birth date of Dec 31, 1942.3,4,5,6 He married Nancy Kay Scofield, daughter of Cosmo "Scafido" Scofield and Katherine Mae "Kay" McCune, on June 29, 1963 at Summit Co., Ohio.1,2,3,4 Robert Allan Rankin died on July 25, 2016 at Ashland, Ashland Co., Ohio, at age 73.4,5 He Robert "Bob" A. Rankin, age 73, of Ashland, passed away on July 25, 2016 at Hospice of North Central Ohio in the presence of his family members. Bob was born in Akron, Ohio on December 30, 1942 as the son of John W. Rankin and Gladia M. (Marlowe) Rankin. He had been an Ashland resident since 1978. He was employed as manager of Rex Pipe and Supply Company where he managed offices in Ashland, Mansfield and Medina, Ohio before retiring with over 20 years of service. Mr. Rankin had also been previously employed at Mid-Ohio Pipe of Ashland, Rothwell Fitting Company in Canal Fulton, Ohio and Hardware & Supply Company in Akron, Oho. On June 29, 1963, Bob was married to his Akron Garfield High School sweetheart, Nancy K. Scofield. In addition to his wife, Nancy, Bob is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert John (Shelly) Rankin of Dayton Ohio and Marc A. (Tracy) Rankin of North Canton. Seven grandchildren also survive, Emily Rankin, Joshua Rankin, Jacob Rankin, Mason Rankin, Jaret Rankin, Macy Rankin and Marissa Rankin. One sister, Nancy Reiter of Findlay, Ohio also survives in addition to many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Barbara Rankin. Mr. Rankin was best known for his positive outlook on life's events. When asked how he was feeling during his best and worst days, he would always answer with "I can't complain". He was a member of the Akron Garfield High School class of 1960, and a member of the Methodist Church in Uniontown, Ohio. He also was a member of The Monarchs singing group and Country Club of Ashland where he was part of the men's dance club. Bob dearly enjoyed annual family reunions at their home along with summer trips to Florida and the Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio with his sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren. He was also very involved with the Akron YMCA where he dedicated much of his time to his two sons in Indian Guides. He also was an avid golfer, bowler, fisherman, and a drag car racer. In addition, you could always count on Bob to be there at the many sports, school activities, weddings, and other special life events with both the extended Rankin and Scofield family members, for which he will be greatly missed. Burial will be held at the Hillside Memorial Park in Akron on July 28, 2016.4

Robin was surrounded by the wonderful memories of her grandchildren. Robin's son, Christopher Watson and her three grandchildren, Amber, Kalie and Bryce Watson were the true loves of her life. Robin was thrilled to share the honor of helping raise three lovely grandchildren. Robin leaves behind her loving son, Christopher (Angela) Watson; her husband, David; mother, Roseanne; and three siblings, Robert (Tina), Randall (Pam) and Ronald (Jan) Scofield. Robin was preceded in death by her father, Robert Scofield. A special thanks to Robin's personal support group, Jean, Barb, Jeanine and her best friend of 40 years, Sharon Dowling. on September 7, 2014.3
