Jack H. James, 16, Toledo, drowned Sunday, about 5 p.m. in the Maumee river, off Garden Island, which is directly back of the Guy Smith and Henry Hugh property on Front St. Jack, with h1s father, Earl James and a friend, Harry Zaker, all of Toledo, were wading near the island when Jack, a mute, waved his arms as a signal of trouble, then sank beneath the water. Mr. James called for help from shore and attracted the attention of G. Henry Hugh, who summoned the police patrol and Witzler's ambulance. Every effort was made in the search for the body, which was finally found about 8:30 p.m., 50 feet from where the boy disappeared. The body was recovered by Marshall Fred Sasse, H. N. Young, Olin Phillips, Carlton Thomas and H. T. Orwell, State Highway patrolman. on July 15, 1938.1

Surviving Andrew are his loving children, Andrew (Valerie McCartney) Nagypaul, Victoria Nagypaul and Christine Nagypaul; five grandchildren, Dakota, Kyrsten, Carolyn, Jaden and Faith and sisters, Mary Hornyak and Ann Farkas. Andrew was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Donna; his parents; three brothers and four sisters. Visitation for Andrew will be held Tuesday, from 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. at Hoeflinger - Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave, Oregon, OH. Funeral services will begin with prayers at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, and then proceed to St. Ignatius Church for Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery. on April 21, 2008.2

Joyce graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1948 and from Davis & Elkins College, cum laude, in 1955, with a degree in elementary education. Moving to Columbus, Ohio, in the late 1950s, she was an art teacher in the Columbus Public Schools until her retirement in 1994. Art was her passion, and she graduated from Ohio State University with a master’s degree in art. She was a faithful member of the Central Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert B Hebb; and daughters, Terry Louise Hebb and Sharon Gail Hebb. She is survived by her sons, David Craig Hebb and Richard Hunt Hebb; a daughter, Patricia Ann Hebb; sister, Shirley Elmore Sanders; half sister, Jenny Cox; half brother, Dewayne Cox; granddaughter, Angela Marie; and a great-granddaughter, Gabriella. Her body was cremated and a Memorial Service was held Jan. 20 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses in Columbus, Ohio. A graveside service will be held Friday, June 28, at 1 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Marlinton. on June 21, 2019.2
