Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: his wife, Mrs. Tresa Dixie Alley; four sons, Roy Lee, at home; Arthur John, MacArthur; Frank, Mabscott; and George, Skelton; two daughters, Mrs. William Shucks and Mrs. Cecil Thompson, both of Glenview; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Smith, Mabscott, and Mrs. Eunice Cox, Oak Hill; one brother, Frank Alley, Rainelle, and 14 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Mabscott Baptist Church by the Rev. James Neal and the Rev. Carden A. Hillman. Burial will be in the Calfee Cemetery at Mt. Tabor. The body will be removed from the Calfee Funeral Home to the residence of William Pennington, Mabscott, at 4 p.m. today. Pallbearers will be George Dale, George Davis, Frank Neubert, Abe Mays, W. K. Thompson, and Sid Toney. on September 18, 1952.8

Smith of Cool Ridge; two stepsons, William Pennington of Beckley and James Pennington of, Alexandria; one brother, Frank H. Alley of East Rainelle; one sister, Mrs. Eunice Cox of Oak Hill; seven grandchildren; and one great-grand child. The body will be taken from the Melton Mortuary to the home at 4 p.m. Friday. on August 17, 1961.7

D. Foster, of Main street. The Rev. C. H. Martin, pastor of the Alderson Memorial Baptist church of Bellepoint, conducted the services, burial following in the Greenbrier Memorial Park. Her death resulted from the fracture of her hip in a fall about a month ago while she was visiting her daughter, Mrs. G. C. Smith at Buck. She is survived by her husband James H. Alley, and eight children: Mrs. Foster, Mrs. M. D. Bailey and Mrs. C. E. Ellison of Hinton; Mrs. Smith, of Buck; J. W. Alley, Mabscott; Frank Alley, Rainelle; Mrs. Eunice Cox, Fire Creek, and Mrs. Maggie Smith, Inton. on August 6, 1944.1

Mr. Smith was a former employee of Wilson & Company in Hinton and was retired from the Summers County Hospital as Supervisor of the Store Room. He was a United States Air Corps Veteran of World War II. He was of the Baptist faith and had lived most of his life in Summers County. John was preceded in death by his wife, Corrine Bryson Smith in December of 1999. Also preceded by a grandson, Johnny Frank Gore. One brother, Charles Smith and one sister, Ruth Norris. Survivors include one son, Danny Smith & wife Roberta of Ft. Pierce, FL. One daughter, Patricia Gore & husband Frank of Hinton. One sister, Tommi Trail & husband Van of Hinton. Four grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday July 16, 2007 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Ronald Cobb officiating. Burial will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens in Hinton. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be, Bobby Gregg, Jamie Lowery, John Hopkins, Zack & Alex Kennedy and Doug Trail.5

     His Social Security Number was 236-09-6181.5 Everette Hueston Dove was buried at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, Fayette Co., West Virginia.4 He Everette Hueston Dove, age 94 of Oak Hill died at his home on Saturday, July 21, 2012. Born September 17, 1917 at Table Rock, WV, he was the son of the late Josiah Bee and Anna Pearl Redden Dove. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Lillian Cox Dov, daughter, Rita Jeanette Snyder, two half-brothers and one half sister. Mr. Dove was a former miner, coke oven operator, carpenter, auctioneer and merchant. Survivors include three sons, Donald Clyde Dove of Beckley, Melvin Hueston Dove of Oak Hill and Mark Edward Dove of Fayetteville; and one daughter, Rebecca Jane Dunaway of Indiana. Five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The entire Dove family wishes a “Special Thank You” to Mr. Dove's Niece, Caregiver, “Buddy” and Friend, Cheryl Pittman !!
