Survivors include his wife, Opal, at the home; a son, Lt. Kenneth Baker, in the Navy; a brother, Lloyd Baker, Orofino, and four sisters, Mrs. Verdie Converse and Mrs. Beatrice Smolinski, both of Orofino; Mrs. Goldie Snyder, Weippe, and Mrs. Vera Kellberg, Spokane. Burial will be at noon at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens, Lewiston. on January 22, 1968.1

He is survived by his wife at their Lewiston home; a son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Renee Baker; daughters, Jeanna Wakefield, Colene Kaye and son-in-law, Ed Fackler. He is survived by brothers Allen and Keith Baker and also by his loving grandchildren, Kristi and Jonathan Biggers, Chad and Lisa Fackler, Donnie and Brad Baker and Tiffany and Ashley Fackler. He was also blessed with one great-granddaughter, Aurora Biggers. He was preceded in death by a son, Johnnie Baker, on July 7, 1977; a sister, Shirley Whitman; and a brother, Wayne Baker, who died in World War II. He will be truly missed as he was loved beyond measure. He has gone to be with his savior, Jesus Christ. There will be a memorial service at a later date at the Elwood Cemetery on Texas Ridge near Deary. on November 6, 2001.6

She delighted in her three great-grandchildren, Aurora, Jotham and Jackson. One son, Johnny, preceded her in death. Burial of ashes will be next to Don at Elwood Cemetery on Texas Ridge. Carole was a loving and devoted mother, and at the end of the day she was still Don's sweetheart kitten. on March 12, 2004.2

She married Alfred William Smolinski Oct. 12, 1934, in Orofino and they farmed in the Fraser area until moving to Orofino in 1952. Alfred preceded her in death Dec. 26, 1997. Beatrice was always a busy "Bea". In Fraser, she was a member of the Fraser Grange, a 4-H club leader and along with good friend, Irene Jackson, organized the Fraser Get-Together Club. She was a member of the Orofino Bluebell Rebekah Lodge for 50 years, where she received the decoration of chivalry, the highest honor the order can bestow upon a member. As a Rebekah, she served in many roles: treasurer for both the Orofino Lodge and Grand LEA of Idaho assembly assistant officer for several years at Rebekah Assemblies of Idaho and assistance and advisor to the Orofino Theta Rho Girls Club. Beatrice also served as treasurer for the Orofino Senior Citizens Center for several years and she worked at the Orofino Convalescent Center for seven years as an assistant cook before being promoted to cook. Beatrice was a member of the Orofino United Methodist Church and a WSCS member. Beatrice is survived by two daughters, Glenna Johnston and her husband Phil of Orofino, and Karen Crump and her husband Norman of Rathdrum. Idaho five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. Burial at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens in Lewiston. on January 1, 2008.6

Huddleston passed away Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Death was the result of an accidental burning. Evelyn was born Dec. 25, 1923, to Omer C. and Goldie Baker Snyder, at Orofino. She grew up near Weippe on Snyder ranch on the edge of Lolo Creek. As a child, she attended the OK School and the Wilson School. As a young woman, she worked as a cook's helper in the logging camp at Headquarters. She married N.A. (Bo) Huddleston on Aug. 14, 1947. Along with Bo came his four children from a previous marriage, Nancy, Diane, Donna and Butch. They lived and worked in the Pierce area for several years. Evelyn and Bo went on to have five children of their own, Carol, Norman, Kenny, Marvin and Marlene. They moved to Kamiah and worked there for a little more than a year before moving to Lewiston in 1958. Her last and final move was to the Lapwai Valley in 1961, where she resided until her death. Evelyn enjoyed family gatherings, visiting with friends and potluck dinners. Her homemade noodles and beef were a favorite of the family. She will be missed by all of us. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bo; her son Kenny and family; daughters Diane Erickson and Donna Willoughby; and two granddaughters. on August 5, 2009.2

Mr. Sowder is survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace Phenice Sowder, Gulfport; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Meadows, Gulfport, and Mrs. Donnie (Flora) Thurmond, Houston, Tex; two sisters, Mrs. Raymond Keith, Fayetteville, Ark., and Miss Elizabeth Sowder, Fort Smith, Ark., and three grandchildren. on February 15, 1971.7
