They first farmed on Lost Mountain until settling in a one-room log cabin along the Dungeness River. She graduated from Sequim High School and in 1948 married Reuben Brueckner who she met after exchanging letters while he was serving in the Army during WWII. They relocated to Bremerton in 1952 after Reuben found work at PSNS. They started their family by adopting their two children and remained married until 1977. In 1987 she married Jack Sullivan, who preceded her in death in 1996. She held various jobs around the Bremerton area and in the 1980s she owned her own state-licensed childcare center. Margaret loved children and had special relationships with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and various nieces and nephews. Margaret enjoyed quilting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, painting and sketching. She particularly enjoyed sewing for her grandchildren and making knit hats for the newborns at Harrison Medical Center. Margaret is survived by her children John Brueckner Sloan of Bremerton and Carma Foley (Guy) of Seabeck, stepdaughter Valerie Morgan of Silverdale (Lauren, Riley, Rafe) and stepsons Joe (Lucas and Joe) of Lake Symington and Jim of Seattle. Grandchildren Vincent (Christin) Gerbasi of Chicago, IL, Cara (Gareth) Cole of Silverdale, Marci (Jared Taylor) Foley of Seabeck and greatgrandchildren Evan, Callie and Gauge. Sisters Betty of Phoenix, AZ and Mildred of Eastern Washington. A special thank you to Rene Foley and Hospice of Kitsap County for the help and guidance to Carma Foley while caring for her Mother in accordance with her wishes. Memorial services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church on Sunday, January 24th at 3 p.m., a gathering will follow. Please consider adoption or foster parenting.

He had been shot at least four in the back, chest and arms. Investigators said robbery apparently was the motive for the killing. Clary's pockets had been turned inside out and 1956 pickup truck is missing. on February 17, 1976.8

Glenn was a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country during the later years of WWII in Korea. Glenn married Ruth Elmer on April 7, 1973, in La Grande. They made their home on the Uhrig Family Ranch on Crane Creek, east of Weiser, Idaho. Glenn was a vital part of a successful cattle operation with his brother, Kenneth, until the ranch sold in 1996. At that time Glenn and Ruth purchased the Oberteuffer place on Stubblefield Mountain and moved there with some of their cows in January 1996. Those who knew Glenn say he loved serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whom Glenn had given his heart to many years earlier. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Uhrig; sister-in-law, Linda Nutter and her husband, Mike; brother-in-law, Howard Elmer and his wife, Cherie; several nieces and nephews; brothers, Robert Uhrig and his wife, Micheline, of Pelican Rapids, Minn., and Kenneth Uhrig and wife, Judy, of Weiser, Idaho. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Uhrig in 1965. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shining Light Ministries, Tanzania, Africa, in care of Loveland Funeral Chapel, 1508 Fourth St., La Grande 97850.
