She was valedictorian of Mineral Springs High School and graduated from Draughon Business School. She was an avid gardener and voracious reader and was treasurer of N.C. State Master Gardeners for many years. Anne was a longtime member of Bethania Moravian Church where she served as an Elder. She was also an active supporter of the Boy Scouts of America and was a dedicated volunteer reading teacher in the public schools. Anne was preceded in death by her parents and sister Billie Hunter Cox. She is survived by her husband Richard P. Kelley; daughter Kathleen Kelley and husband Bill Aycock of Greensboro; sons Richard Kelley Jr. and wife Lauren of Orlando, FL, Tedd Kelley of Tampa, FL, and George Kelley and wife Lisa of Charlotte; five grandchildren: Meghan Kelley, Joshua Kelley, Ryan Kelley, Lauren Aycock, and Sam Aycock; great-grandson Liam Kelley; brother John Wayne Hunter of Germany; and her beloved labrador, Daisy. She was a homemaker and a member of Gauley Bridge Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Carla J. and Clyde Walker of St. Albans; sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and D.L. Cline of Inverness, Fla., JoAnn and Ray Pallares of Orlando, Fla; grandsons, Eric Mitchell and wife, Kim, of Nitro, Lee Walker of St. Albans; great-granddaughter, Molly Mitchell of Nitro; special niece, Chris Shelton of Swiss. Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Pennington Funeral Home, Gauley Bridge, with the Rev. Joseph G. Law officiating. Burial will be in Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gauley Bridge Baptist Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 787, Gauley Bridge, WV 25085, or the National Parkinson's Foundation Inc., 1501 NW 9th Ave., Bob Hope Road, Miami, FL 33136-1494. on October 21, 2002.6
