     Carl Ashby Witt Carl Ashby Witt, 85 of Bedford, came into the world on Saturday, September 2, 1933. He left it surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Carl was the second son born to Benjamin Davis Witt and Helen Overstreet Witt Johnson. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Thomas Lester "Buck" Johnson, brother, Lavender Delray Witt, sister, Faye Witt Preston, son, William Medford Witt and first wife, Rosalie Dooley Witt. Those who survive and treasure his memory include his wife, Phyllis Tuck Witt; his granddaughter, Mindy Dawn Witt DeLong & husband, Joshua; daughter-in-law, Sherrie Ratcliffe Witt; his bonus family, Suzanne Keck & husband, Billy, Tracy Tuck & wife, Robyn, Mark Tuck & wife, Nancy, numerous grandchildren and three great grandchildren as well as many extended family members & friends. Carl was a self made, true gentleman. He served in the U. S. Army and was retired from Rubatex Corporation after 43 years. In retirement he enjoyed working part-time at Fisher Auto Parts. Carl loves fast cars and was proud of his three vintage cars. He enjoyed traveling and had visited all fifty states. Reading and crossword puzzles were favorite past times.⁴ He was buried at Virginia Memorial Park, Forest, Bedford Co., Virginia.⁵ He died on September 2, 1933.⁴ He married Phyllis Audrey Blankenship, daughter of Woodrow Blankenship Sr. and Annie May Palmer, on September 4, 2010 at Bedford Co., Virginia.^1,2,3,4 Carl Ashby Witt died on February 16, 2019 at Virginia.⁴

     Angela Renee Blankenship was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, 1300 Mountain View Road, Vinton, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^2,4 She was born on July 3, 1971 at Henrico Co., Virginia.^2,3 She died on October 25, 1975 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 4.^2,4 She Miss Angela Renee (Angle) Blankenship, age 4, of 802 Cleveland Ave., Vinton, died Saturday evening in an automobile accident. Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Allen R. Blankenship; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Nellie C. Gray, Roanoke; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Blankenship, Sr., Rt. 1, Goodview. Interment in Mt View Cemetery. on October 27, 1975.⁴

     Earl Lawrence Krier was buried at Pennington Cemetery, Sigourney, Keokuk Co., Iowa.^3,4 He married Donna Mae Olive.⁵ Earl Lawrence Krier was born on January 2, 1931 at Iowa.^1,3 He died on October 19, 1996 at Iowa City, Johnson Co., Iowa, at age 65.^3,4,5 He Earl L. Krier, 65, died Saturday, Oct. 19, 1996, in University Hospitals, Iowa City, after an extended illness. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sigourney Christian Church. Burial: Pennington Cemetery, near Sigourney. Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at Holm Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 tonight. Survivors include his wife, Donna; a daughter, Jody Seibel of Iowa City; a son, David of Sigourney; and two brothers, Glen of Sigourney and Carroll of Cedar Rapids. on October 21, 1996.⁴

     David Lawrence Krier was buried at Pennington Cemetery, Sigourney, Keokuk Co., Iowa.^1,2 He was born on November 7, 1955 at Sigourney, Keokuk Co., Iowa.^1,2 He died on July 31, 2002 at Las Vegas, Clark Co., Nevada, at age 46.^1,2 He David Lawrence Krier, 46, died July 31, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nev. He was born Nov. 7, 1955 in Sigourney, the son of Earl Lawrence and Donna Mae Olive Krier. He graduated from Sigourney High School in 1973 and the University of Iowa in 1978 with a degree in electrical engineering. He worked for Hughes Aircraft for five years. He later was an engineer consultant for the Department of Defense contracts with Rockwell, Kaiser Electronics, Northup, Boeing, McDonald Douglas and Grumann. In 1987 he returned to farm with his father. He was a member of the Sigourney Christian Church. He is survived by his mother; and one sister, Jody Krier of Iowa City. He was preceded in death by his father on Oct. 19, 1996. Funeral services were held on Fri., Sept. 20 at the Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney with the Rev. Paul Davidson officiating. Burial was in the Pennington Cemetery at Sigourney. Casket bearers were Dennis Rankin, Jeff Krier, Dan Strobel, Craig Krier, Tom Greene, Rick Mateer and Kenneth Kensler. Arrangements are by Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney. on September 20, 2002.²
