She states that her maiden name was Sophronia A. Skinner and she was married to Benjamine Hayner on June the 5th 1854. on February 19, 1886. She died on March 4, 1911 at Bengal, Christian Co., Missouri, at age 72.2

He was a blacksmith and carpenter. He married in Lebanon, Marion Co., KY 5 Jun 1854 Sophronia A. Skinner, who was age 15 by her own statement. She was possibly part Indian, according to tradition in family of her great-grandson Harry Hayner; said to be from
Kentucky. She died 4 Mar 1911 in Christian Co., MO. The following record of births of their 12 children is from a Bible of Mrs S. A. Hayner, notarized at Billings, MO in 1886 at the time of her pension claim; some deaths were added later.1 He was born on January 1, 1823 at Washington Co., Kentucky.1 He married Sophronia Ann Skinner, daughter of TaliferroTaliafero L. Skinner and Elizabeth Nuckles, on June 5, 1854 at Lebanon, Marion Co., Kentucky.1 Benjamin Franklin Hayner died on April 6, 1884 at Republic, Greene Co., Missouri, at age 61.1

Mrs. Stanley is survived by a daughter-in-law, who was her caregiver, Nancy U. Stanley of Abingdon; a brother, John Hassell Yeatts of Montgomery, Alabama; two sisters, Lora Yeatts King of Madison, Wisconsin, and Eileen Yeatts Horton of Dublin; and a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Stanley will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Meadows of Dan Baptist Church with the Rev. Clarence Marshall officiating. The family will gather at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in the Yeatts Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Meadows of Dan Baptist Church. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is in charge of the arrangements. on August 24, 2000.2

An active member of Stuart Baptist Church, she served as a Sunday School teacher, Girls Auxiliary counselor, and six years as president of WMU (Women's Missionary Union). She was a past president of J.E.B. Stuart Women's (cq) Club and the Stuart Book Club. She was past worthy matron of Stuart Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma honorary society for teachers. She served as county chairman of the American Cancer Society for several years and held life membership in the Patrick County Historical Society. Those wishing to make memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may consider Stuart Baptist Church or a favorite charity. She is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Hutchens of Stuart; three sons, A.D. Hopkins of Las Vegas, Nev., Edward Hopkins of Lynchburg, John Hopkins of Miami, Fla; eight grandchildren; also sisters, Lora King of Madison, Wis., Vera Stanley of Mayberry, and Eileen Horton of Dublin; and a brother, John Hassell Yeatts of Prattville, Ala. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart and at other times at the Hopkins home. The funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Stuart Baptist Church with burial at Stuart Cemetery. on May 4, 1995.8
