Women's Club, and was a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was the widow of Samuel Q. "Quentin"' Reed. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. David (Texie) Doolittle, Elkhart, Ind; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Hollingsworth of Grace Lutheran Church officiating. The body has been cremated. Burial will be at a later date at Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg, Va. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial donations be made to Greencroft Center in Goshen, Ind. or the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 637, Rockingham, N.C. 28380. on January 27, 1998.4

Va., died Saturday, Feb. 28 at Stevens Clinic Hospital, Welch, W.Va. She was born June 11, 1890 at Iaeger and was a daughter of the late Homer E. and Hariiett Elizabeth Conner Strickler, decendants of the Page County Stricklers. Mrs. Bashor lived in Shenandoah until 1961 when she moved to Roanoke and later to Iaeger. She was a member of The United Daughters of the Confederacy in Roanoke, Col. William Preston Chapter of the DAR in Roanoke, Iaeger United Methodist Church and the Margaret Harmon Circle. Mrs. Bashor received a 50 year pin from Order of the Eastern Star. Her husband, G. T. Bashor is deceased. Surviving are a son, J. W. Parker of Welch, W.Va; five daughters, Mrs. Lucile L. Alexander of Oak Hill, W.Va., Mrs. Edna Turner, of Iaeger, W.Va., Mrs. Virginia Calser of Bal Rico, Fla., Mrs. Alice Parker Haynes of Miami, Fla. and Mrs. Gladys Thomas of Riverton; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Burial was in Iaeger Memorial Cemetery, Roderfield, W.Va.7 Her married name was Bashor.7 She married Guy Tilden Bashor.7,9 Ida May Strickler was born on June 11, 1890 at Locust Grove, Floyd Co., Virginia.4,5,7 As of December 23, 1910,her married name was Parker.6 She married John Thomas Parker on December 23, 1910 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.1,10,6 Ida May Strickler died on February 28, 1976 at Welch, McDowell Co., West Virginia, at age 85.5,7
