     Franklin D. Marley Mr. Franklin D. Marley, age 73, of Westover Drive, Wilkesboro, died Friday, November 9, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Health Center. Mr. Marley was born January 14, 1939 in Wilkes County to Woodrow and Elizabeth Hamby Marley. He was a member of Gordon Baptist Church. Mr. Marley was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Alan Marley; three brothers, Junior Marley, Billy Joe Marley, Tommy Marley; sister, Anna Sue Marley; two daughters in law, Toni Marley and Lucy Marley. Surviving are his wife, Virgie Marley of the home; son, Timothy Marley of the home; daughter, Elaine Shew of Wilkesboro; six brothers, Richard Marley, Clayton Marley, Bobby Marley and wife Luella, Grover Marley all of Ferguson; Boyd Marley and wife Debbie of Granite Falls, Robert Marley and wife Glenda of Wilkesboro; two sisters, Nina Beavers of Ferguson, Ethel Greene and husband Daniel of Lenoir; three grandsons, Amos Marley, Eric Marley and D.J. Shew and three granddaughters, Amy Shew, Rebecca Dishmond and Sierra Gunther. Funeral service will be held 2:00 o'clock Monday, November 12, 2012 at Gordon Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Barlow and the Rev. Terry Call officiating. Burial will follow in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Gordon Baptist Church from 1:00 until 2:00 o'clock on Monday, prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Gordon Baptist Church, 283 Boone Trail, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
