Evelyn spent 20 years working at the Eastern Illinois University in food service, retiring in 1988. She was a member of the Hidalgo Church of Christ. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother Russell Henderson and two infant sisters. on June 12, 2010.²
