Scott; four brothers, Grady, Nelson, Grover and Paul Scott; a sister, Wilma S. Woods. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Scott, of the home; one son, Roger Scott, Lynchburg, four grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Elma Young, Nellie and Clem Rakes, Ferrum; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Polly Scott, Culpeper, W. B. and Eva Scott, Burkville, Leo and Geral dine Scott, Ferrum; a dear friend, Joe Wooldridge; many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday from First Church of the Brethren with the Rev. William Pugh and Pastor Bob Andrews officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. on October 18, 1995.³

Surviving are his wife Iris Cook Blankenship; three step-sons including a special step-son, Bobby Bailey of Rocky Mount, Jim Bailey of Ringgold, and Randy Bailey of Fredericksburg; four brothers, Earnest Blankenship of Florida, Hubert Blankenship of Moneta, Herman Blankenship of Charlottesville, and Cecil Blankenship of Tenn; two sisters, Ruby McBride of Redwood and Susie Blankenship of N.C; sister-in-law and husband, Helen and Robert Gillispie of Las Vegas, Nev; special niece, Debbie Snoots; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday from Flora Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the family cemetery. on May 14, 2004.²

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2000 at the Rader Daleville Chapel with Pastor Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. on February 2, 2000.¹
