     Gregory Allen Campbell was born on August 18, 1959 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.² He died on August 28, 2006 at Gastonia, Gaston Co., North Carolina, at age 47.^1,2 He Gregory Allen Campbell, 47, formerly of Fayetteville, died Aug. 28, 2006, at Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia, N.C., following an apparent heart attack. Born Aug. 18, 1959, at Beckley, he was the son of Helen A. Tredway Campbell of York, S.C., and formerly of Fayetteville, and the late Arthur Eugene Campbell. He was preceded in death by his father on April 27, 1978, and two infant brothers. Greg was currently employed as the operations manager for Adessa Automobile Auction and had previously worked at the Peoples Bank in Richwood, the New River Bank in Oak Hill, Fayette County National Bank as a branch manager, and Long-Airdox Company, in the material control department. Surviving: his son, Grant J. Campbell of Oak Hill; daughter, Hope C. Campbell of Oak Hill; mother, Helen Campbell of York, S.C; brother, Arthur E. Campbell Jr. and wife, Janie, of Fayetteville; nephews, Arthur E. Campbell III and John A. Campbell, both of Fayetteville; and friend, Bryan Ellis of York, S.C. Funeral services were Sept. 1 at the Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home Chapel, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Robert Mattox officiating. Memorials may be made to Gideons Bible International, PO Box 429, Oak Hill, WV 25901. on September 7, 2006.²

Interment will be in Sherwood. on September 3, 1946.⁴
