He attended York High School in Yorktown, Va., and graduated from Kubaski High School in Okinawa, Japan. He also attended the University of Virginia and graduated from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Va. He was in trust banking for over 30 years and retired as head trust officer with S.C. Bank and Trust. Mr. Mills was involved in Rotary, Kiwanis and Lions Clubs. He enjoyed golf, basketball, racquetball, handball and coached girl's basketball at Our Lady of Mercy in Winston-Salem, N.C. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Seaford, Va. Surviving are his wife, Sally Scofield Mills of Columbia; three daughters, Audra F. Mills of Williamsburg, Va., Holly R. Mills of Newport News, Va., and Barbara M. Meyer and her husband, Nicholas B. Meyer, of Albuquerque, N.M; two grandchildren, Charles A. 'Cam' Meyer and Christopher Maxwell 'Max' Meyer; his mother and stepfather, Frances and Ray I. Etheridge of Seaford, Va; and three brothers, Ronnie Mills, Robbie Mills and Ivan Etheridge, all of Virginia. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at Zion United Methodist Church in Seaford. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 2, in Amory Funeral Home, Grafton. Ray was a native of Guernsey, WY and was a former resident of Gloucester before moving to the Peninsula in 1982. He retired as a LT. from the US Navy after 25 years. Serving during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. After retirement he worked in Naval Mine Engineering at Naval Weapons Station, Yorktown and was also a real estate agent. He was a former member and helped to build Apostle Lutheran Church in Gloucester, and was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Seaford. Ray is survived by his wife Frances; 3 sons Ivan Etheridge (Shari) of Gloucester, Ronnie Mills (Irene) of Seaford, Robbie Mills (Brenda) of Yorktown; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by special friends Ron and Brenda Pierce and Barbara Zeno. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Mills. A funeral service with full military honors will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 13, at Zion United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.      Ronald Cecil "Ronnie" Mills was buried at Zion Methodist Church Cemetery, 609 Seaford Road, Seaford, York Co., Virginia.⁹ He was born on March 9, 1938 at Dinwiddie Co., Virginia.⁴ He married Julia Irene Presson on December 20, 1958 at Seaford, York Co., Virginia.³ Ronald Cecil "Ronnie" Mills died on August 18, 2014 at York Co., Virginia, at age 76.⁹ He Seaford, VA - Ronald "Ronnie" Mills, 76, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2014. Ronnie was a native and lifelong Seaford resident. He was a 1956 graduate of York High School and attended Randolph Macon College and graduated from of the apprentice school at NASA and retiring as an electrician after 30 years. After his retirement, he was employed with the York County School Division as a school bus driver for many years, and was an active member of Zion United Methodist Church. He was an avid duck hunter, and loved to play golf. He participated in Civil War Competitions with the NSSA (North South Skirmish Association) and was a member of the York Rangers. Ronnie was preceded in death by his daughter Lisa Mills; his father Cecil S. Mills; step father Ray Etheridge; and brother Larry Mills. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Irene Mills; his daughters, Rhonda Mills of Newport News, Robin Moore of Seaford, and Julie Thomas of Yorktown and his mother, Margaret Frances Williams Etheridge of Yorktown. He is also survived by 3 brothers, Robbie Mills of Tabb, Otis Mills of Newport News and Ivan Etheridge of Seaford; 6 grandchildren, Charlie, Matthew, Emily, Ashley, James and Mikey; and 4 great grandchildren, Ella, Chip, Madilyn and May. A Celebration of Ronnie's Life will be held at Zion United Methodist Church in Seaford. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. on August 20, 2014.⁹

     Warren Robbins "Robbie" Mills was buried at Zion Methodist Church Cemetery, 609 Seaford Road, Seaford, York Co., Virginia.⁴ He was born on April 4, 1947 at Newport News, Virginia.^2,3 He married Brenda Joyce Gayheart on July 16, 1966 at Seaford, York Co., Virginia.² Warren Robbins "Robbie" Mills and Brenda Joyce Gayheart were divorced on October 8, 1987 at York Co., Virginia.⁹ Warren Robbins "Robbie" Mills married Brenda Lee Honeycutt on November 7, 1987 at York Co., Virginia.^2,4 Warren Robbins "Robbie" Mills Yorktown – Warren Robbins "Robbie" Mills, 75, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022. Robbie was a lifelong resident of Yorktown, a graduate of York High School, and a member of Zion United Methodist Church. He was the owner of Mills Construction. Robbie was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Margaret Mills, his brothers Ronnie and Larry Mills. Robbie is survived by his wife, Brenda Honeycutt Mills, 2 daughters; Tatum Strickland (Jeff), Story Kerr (Scott), stepdaughter; Roseanne Whitmire (Jeff), two brothers; Otis Mills and Ivan Etheridge and 6 grandchildren; Christopher, Blake, Jackson, Hunter, Bennett and Heather. A funeral service will be held in Zion United Methodist Church, Seaford. Interment will be in the church cemetery. on February 23, 2017.⁴ He died on August 3, 2022 at Yorktown, York Co., Virginia, at age 75.⁴

     Her married name was Knouse.² Dorothea Rennee "Dottie" "Tiny" Conner married Charles Daniel Knouse Jr.² Dorothea Rennee "Dottie" "Tiny" Conner was born on June 23, 1938 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah.^2,3 She died on December 14, 2010 at Alba, Antrim Co., Michigan, at age 72.^2,3 She Dorothea "Dottie" Knouse 72 of Alba, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, of a heart attack in her home. Dottie was born June 23, 1938, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who had a boisterous spirit and a great love of animals. She is survived by her children, William & Wendy (Anderson) Knouse of Springville, Utah, Carl & Dawn (LaPorte) Knouse of Gaylord, MI and David & Vicki (Knouse) Aukerman of Terre Haute, Indiana. Also surviving are grandchildren, Chrystal D & (Jason) Marshall, KresLynn Knouse, Tristin Knouse, Rhiannon Knouse, Charles J. Knouse, Heather Knouse, Trevor Knouse, Kyhle Porter, Saxon Porter and Strom Porter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Daniel Knouse Jr. in 2006.
