     Bruce Strickler Harrison Mr. Bruce Strickler Harrison, 80, of Winston-Salem died Monday, January 12, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born January 3, 1929 in Winston-Salem, the son of the late, John Ruben and Ethel Strickler Harrison. Mr. Harrison was a lifelong member of Trinity Moravian Church. He had served as President of the Fellowship Class where every Sunday morning he told a joke. In 1964 he and his family moved to Kansas City, MO where he was a resident for 25 years before returning to Winston-Salem. He was a First Line Supervisor at Western Electric before his retirement. He was a member of ACBL and was an avid bridge player. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, John R. Harrison, Jr. . Survivors include his wife, Jacquelyn J. Harrison of the home; one son, David L. Harrison and wife, Carla of Atlanta, GA; one daughter, Jill H. Cox and husband, David of Gladstone, MO; one grandson, Richard Bruce Cox and one granddaughter, Caroline H. Cox both of Gladstone, MO; one sister, Janice H. Clodfelter of Winston-Salem and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted Friday at 11:00 AM at Trinity Moravian Church with Rev. John Jackman officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Moravian Graveyard. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trinity Moravian Church, 220 East Sprague Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27127 or Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.2 He was buried at Salem Moravian Graveyard, Winston-Salem, Forsyth Co., North Carolina.2 He was born on January 3, 1929 at Winston-Salem, Forsyth Co., North Carolina.2 He married Emma Jacquelyn Joyner on July 20, 1958 at Winston-Salem, Forsyth Co., North Carolina.3,5 Bruce Strickler Harrison died on January 12, 2009 at Winston-Salem, Forsyth Co., North Carolina, at age 80.2
