Eva was a graduate of Augusta High School and a member of the Living Faith United Methodist Church in Bowen. She was active in the Augusta Women's Club and served as a volunteer for the Southeastern Food Pantry and Meals on Wheels. Along with her husband, Mrs. Chockley owned and operated the Chockley Christmas Tree Farm for many years. Surviving in addition to her husband are four daughters, Donna (Gary) Clampitt of Augusta, Ruth (Ronnie) McCaskill of Clayton, Joyce (Richard) Ringenberg of Augusta and Janice (Mark) Bienhoff of Washington, Okla; 10 grandchildren, Becky Kemp, Vicky Eidson, Greg Clampitt, Tammy Kitchell, Allen McCaskill, Chris Ringenberg, Jon Ringenberg, Lance Bienhoff, Kyle Bienhoff and Katie Bienhoff; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Julie McCaskill in infancy; two sisters, Elizabeth Zorn and Ruth Allen in infancy; and one brother, Robert Allen. SERVICES: 10 a.m. Thursday in the Living Faith United Methodist Church in Bowen, with the Rev. Sandra Bunnell conducting. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Augusta. He was born on June 22, 1925 in McDonough County, Il. to Hearl and Ruth Elston Chockley. He married Eva Frances Allen on August 13, 1944 in the Augusta Methodist Church. He was a member of the Christmas Tree Growers Association, Augusta Lions Club and the former Odd Fellows Lodge. He had served on the Hancock County Fair Board and served as Birmingham Township supervisor and volunteered for the Meals on Wheels and the Food Pantry. He is survived by four daughters, Donna (Gary) Clampitt of Augusta, Ruth (Ronnie) McCaskill of Clayton, Joyce Ringenberg of Augusta and Janice (Mark) Bienhoff of Washington, OK; ten grandchildren, Becky Kemp, Vicky Eidson, Greg Clampitt, Tammy Kitchell, Allen McCaskill, Chris Ringenberg, Jon Ringenberg, Lance Bienhoff, Kyle Bienhoff and Kathleen Bienhoff, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson, 2 sisters, Dorcas (Bill) Kraemer of LaPrairie and Nancy Marlow Perry of Augusta and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Julie McCaskill in infancy, son-in-law, Dick Ringenberg, a brother, Leo Chockley and a sister Loraine Freye. Funeral services were held Saturday April 26, 2014 at the Living Faith United Methodist Church in Bowen, IL by Rev. Bruce Weiman. Burial followed at Woodlawn cemetery in Augusta. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Brown County Senior Citizens Center or Rushville Culberson Gardens. on May 1, 2014.2

Born May 9, 1946 in Macomb, Dick was the son of Clifford E. and Marjorie Stoner Ringenberg. He married Joyce Chockley on June 2, 1968, in Augusta; she survives. Mr. Ringenberg was a 1964 graduate of Augusta High School and attended Quincy Technical School. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Augusta and the Huntsville Masonic Lodge, and he served as township supervisor for Birmingham Township. Dick served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Dick was employed by the Illinois Department of Transportation in highway maintenance for 35 years, retiring in 2002. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons Chris Ringenberg of Lake City, Fla., and Jonathan Ringenberg of Quincy; grandchildren Jared, Casey, John, Molly and Delaney Ringenberg; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jim Ringenberg, and nephew Kenny Ringenberg. Cremation rites have been accorded. Services will be held 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Augusta by Pastor Kurt Hoover. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of services Sunday at the church. Private inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church. on January 26, 2013.4
