He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, swimming, Smith Mountain Lake, watching sports and car racing with his friends and he loved dogs. He was a star player at every sport - baseball, basketball, football, swim team and a natural musician who really rocked the electric guitar. He will be greatly missed by his entire family and all his good friends. Rest in peace Scott, you will be in our hearts forever. Buford enjoyed the sports of fishing and hunting. Mr. Beckner was a member of the Preston Oaks Baptist Church, which he and his wife attended for thirty nine years. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on January 4, 2005.2
