     Kathy Lynn Slack Kathy Lynn Williams, September 4, 1954 - February 24, 2022. Kathy Lynn Williams, 67 of East Bank, West Virginia was reunited with her beloved husband, Robert E. "Bobby" Williams on February 24, 2022. She is preceded in death by her parents J. Ralph, Sr., & Macel Fanny Slack; brothers, James Ralph Slack, Jr., and Paul Donald Slack. She will be dearly missed by her sister, Linda (Morton) Burton, brother, Roger (Donna) Slack along with a multitude of nieces and nephews. She graduated from East Bank High School in 1972. She was also a devoted worker at University of Charleston for many years. Burial will follow at the Donel C. Kinnard Veteran Cemetery in Dunbar.3 She was buried at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.3,5 She was born on September 4, 1954 at West Virginia.3,5 As of circa 1979,her married name was Williams.6 She married Robert Gene "Bobby" Williams circa 1979.2,3,6 Kathy Lynn Slack died on February 24, 2022 at Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 67.3,5

Left to cherish his memory are sisters, Kathy Williams and Linda Burton; brother, Roger Slack; daughters, Susie and Missy Slack; sons, James Ralph Slack III and Ralph Allen Slack; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. on September 22, 2015.4

Paul was surrounded by his loving family when he passed. He was an organ donor. Paul attended East Bank High School with the class of 1970, then joined the U.S. Army. He spent most of his adult life working and living in Florida with his oldest brother, Ralph, as a roofer and contractor, as well as a "Jack of all trades." Due to Paul's deteriorating health, he retired and moved to East Bank to live with his niece, Susie Slack-Kinsel, and his dear friend, Cecil Pomeroy, who cared for him daily. Paul was preceded in death by his loving parents, Ralph and Macel Chambers-Slack of Dry Branch; and his nephew, Logan Andrew Workman. Paul is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Kayla and Sarah of Florida; and his only grandchild, Matthew. Also to cherish his memory are his brothers, Ralph Slack Jr. and his wife, Sarah, of Sutton and Roger and Donna Slack of Ohley; and sisters, Linda Slack-Burton and husband, Morton, of Chelyan and Kathy Slack-Williams and her husband, Bob, of East Bank. He will be greatly missed by his faithful companion, Rusty, his dog. Paul is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him dearly. Paul touched all of our hearts with phone calls at a time in his own special way. Paul may be gone from this earth but our memories of him will live on forever in our hearts. Paul's wishes were to be cremated. on September 6, 2011.2

Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 1997 with the Rev. Carter L. Sloan and the Rev. Gene Arnold officiating. Burial with military honors by VFW Post 1264 will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. He will be deeply missed by all. Our thanks to the VA Medical Center and the Veterans Care Center for their care during his illness. on January 14, 1997.3
