Nola entered into life on the 11th day of October in 1934 in Beckley, WV. She was a daughter to the late Orin Bowling and Thelma Meador Bowling. Nola was a homemaker most of her life however she was employed as a pharmacy assistant with the former Bowens Pharmacy and also worked in shipping and receiving with the former Sport Mart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mr. Robert Carpenter, Sr; and a sister, Wilda Watson. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Robert Carpenter, Jr. of Sissonville; daughters, Rita Gnazzo of Pittsburg and Carolyn Moore and her husband Ray of Keystone Heights, FL; brother, David Bowling of Sissonville; sister, Grace McMillion of Spencer; grandchildren, Jamie Moss of Orange Park, FL, Shelly Bryan of Elkview,
Robert Carpenter III, of Sissonville, and Jeremy Carpenter of Sissonville; also survived by 6 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Services to celebrate the life of Nola will be conducted at 11am Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the Long and Fisher Funeral Home Chapel in Sissonville with Rev. Robert Legg officiating.
