Mr. Vineyard retired from the Navy at the rank of chief petty officer. He had been a naval photographer and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Hawaii, San Diego and Bremerton, Wash. He later served as a state correctional officer at Lansing from 1980 to 1995. He was born Dec. 28, 1941, in Weston, Mo., the son of Donald Lee and Hazel Jeanette Gwinn Vineyard. He attended school in Weston. Mr. Vineyard was a member of Fleet Reserve Branch No. 167 in Topeka, Post No. 225 of the American Legion at Ozawkie, Grahem- Herbers Post No. 3084 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Valley Falls and the Valley Falls United Methodist Church. He married Rollane Eidem. They were divorced. He later married Brenda Elaine Smith Kimberlin on May 30, 1987, at Valley Falls. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Terry Vineyard, Port Orchard, Wash., and James Lee Vineyard Jr., Meridian, Idaho; a stepson, Ryan Kimberlin, Valley Falls; a daughter, Kathleen Vineyard, San Diego; two brothers, Edward Vineyard, Atchison, and Robert Andrews, DeKalb, Mo; a sister, Delores Ellis, Atchison; and a grandson. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Valley Falls United Methodist Church. Ellingsworth, 68, of Aurora, passed away in his home on Tuesday, July 26, 2011. He was born May 15, 1943, in Crane. Donald lived most of his life in the Aurora area. He worked at the MFA Milling Company for more than 20 years and was an over-the-road truck driver, until he retired. His father, Robert Joseph Ellingsworth; his mother, Bonnie (Vineyard) Andrews; a stepfather, LeRoy Andrews; and a granddaughter, Tianna Williams, preceded Donald in death. He is survived by: his wife, Sharon Ellingsworth, of the home; a son, Randy Ellingsworth, Aurora; a daughter and her husband, Donna and Rob Harris, Topeka, Kansas; six grandchildren, Kelly Ellingsworth, Randall Ellingsworth, Hailey Ellingsworth, Dakota Ellingsworth, Heather Harris, and Chelsea Harris; five great-grandchildren, Brody Robinson, Keira Robinson, Jordan Ellingsworth, Dominic Mettlach, and Andrew Brummett; other relatives and many friends. Memorial services were held July 28, at the Faith Worship Center, in Aurora. Interment will be in Spring River Cemetery, Verona, at a later date. on July 29, 2011.³
