George was a loving husband, father and grandfather and is survived by his wife of 32 years, Treva Tallman Cutright; two sons, Brian (Stacy) and Aaron (Whitney); stepdaughter, Tina (Mike) Baldwin; sisters, Geneva Neal and Patsy Holstein; six grandsons; eight granddaughters; one great-grandson; and one great-granddaughter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Craig Burchett; and his siblings, Cheslie Cutright Jr., Jean Lucas, Jack Cutright, Ruth and Wallace Cutright. Burial, with military rites provided by American Legion Post 107 of Ripley, will be in Fairview Cemetery, Leroy. on October 15, 2012.3

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Shirley Ann Magliano Massey of Gatewood; three daughters, Barbara Hood and husband Raymond of North Carolina, Judy Rose of Oak Hill, and Shirley Dennler and husband Scott of Gatewood; a stepdaughter, Terri Bonifacio and husband Tom of Mt. Hope; two stepsons, John Magliano and wife Sharon of Albumdale, Fla., and Mark Magliano of Gatewood; a brother, Hubert Massie of Lower Salem, Ohio; two sisters, Jency Tincher of Gatewood and Alice Toney of Ohio; 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of special nieces and nephews. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity. on March 29, 2009.2

James Hubert Massie was buried at Creighton Ridge Church of Christ Cemetery, Marr, Noble Co., Ohio.12 He James Massie, 93, of Lower Salem, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Summit Acres Nursing Home, in Caldwell, Ohio. James was born September 10, 1926 in Fayette, West Virginia to Walter William and Minnie Mae (Patterson) Massie. He attended Oak Hill Schools. At the outbreak of World War 2, James enlisted in the United States Army, landed in France and occupied Berlin. He married Nellie Adkins on October 17, 1947. James retired from Allsides Aluminum Company after 31 years of service. He loved beagle dogs, from raising them to competing with them in field trials. James will be deeply missed by his sons Randall Massie and James (Cheryl) Massie; grandchildren James (Lisa) Massie, Randall (April) Massie, Daniel (Danyel) Massie, Matthew (Ashley) Massie, James (Crystal) Massie, Brandy (John) Perez and Edward Massie; 18 great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Elmer Massie, Delbert Massey, Modenia Bragg, Ruby McClung, Darrel Massey, Alice Tony, Cline Massie, Everett Massie, Jency Tincher and Eddie Massie. Jency Jane Massie was buried at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, Fayette Co., West Virginia.6,11 She Jency Jane Massie Tincher, age 86, of Gatewood, WV, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 1915 (typo - it should be 2015) at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley. Born June 19, 1928 at Gatewood, WV, she was the daughter of the late William W. and Minnie Mae Patterson Massie. Jency was a homemaker and a member of the Pleasant View Church of the Brethren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Rexford Tincher, by a grandson, Jerry Tincher, a great grandson, Logan Tincher and by six brothers and three sisters. Surviving are her two sons, Lee Ray Tincher and Gary Wayne Tincher both of Fayetteville, one brother, James Hubert Massie of Lower Salem, Ohio. Also surviving are 7 grand children 11 great grand children and one great grandchild. A special thanks to her caregivers, Lynn McGuire, Patrica Coleman and Judy Bolen. Entombment will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, Oak Hill. Services will be Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at the Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with the Rev. Joe Cuthbertson officiating.
