Brownie is survived by a daughter, Amelia Brinson (Mike); and son, Max Shelton; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many loving friends. A memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at Highland Springs Church of Christ, 416 South Kalmia Ave., Highland Springs. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Richmond Chapter of the American Red Cross, where she volunteered for many years. Arrangements by Monaghan Funeral Home, Mechanicsville. on February 24, 2010.5

Survivors include her daughters, Araminta Andrews and husband Jim of Montgomery, Clarinda Gerow of Shoemakersville, Pa; son-in-law, Daniel Kowalewski of Montgomery; sister, Edna Bober of Kerhonkson, Noreen Reynolds of Bloomingburg, Irene Gillespie of Pine Bush; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughter, Nancy Lee Kowalewski; brother, Daniel Roy Toliver; sister, Dorothy Holloway. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 26 at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sat. Dec. 27 at Brick Reformed Church, Rt 17K, Montgomery. The Rev. Brian Randazzo will officiate. Burial will be in New Paltz Rural Cemetery in New Paltz. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brick Reformed Church Steeple Fund. Arrangements by Millspaugh Funeral Directors. on December 25, 2003.5
