Coleman, 86, of Shoreacres, Texas, died Jan. 12, 2007. Mr. Coleman was born in Chelyan on May 8, 1920, to John Calvin Coleman and Beatrice Murray Coleman. In 1941, Mr. Coleman's name was chosen by President Roosevelt as the second name in the second drawing for the draft. Mr. Coleman served honorably in the Army during World War II. In Shoreacres, he served as the president of the Shoreacres Civic Association and also was vice-president for several terms. He was also the first recipient of the Shoreacres Citizen of the Year Award in 1997. Besides being a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mr. Coleman served as an usher and was also active in St. Mary's Knights of Columbus. Mr. Coleman was named Sir Knight Thomas M. Coleman, a 4th Degree in the Knights of Columbus Council 771 in Charleston, and was an honorary lifetime member; a charter member of SEACAP; and a member of the American Legion in the Robert W. Mills Post 452 in Harrison Township, N.J. He was the Plant Manager at Liquid Air before he retired. Mr. Coleman is survived by his wife, Kathryn Coleman; son, Thomas Coleman and wife, Kathleen, of Sharpsburg, Ga; daughter, Kathy Coleman of La Porte, Texas; brother, Gene Coleman of Oak Harbor, Wash; sister, Beatrice "B.B." Clark of Chesapeake; six grandchildren, Michael David Coleman, Adina H. Coleman-Kline, D. Christopher Coleman, Erin M. Fuches, Caroll Lee Weippert, and Leann Coleman; and seven great-grandchildren, Michael Coleman, Shayne Coleman, Kiara Fuches, Aiden Fuches, Vanessa Kline, Thomas Weippert, and Kristian Weippert. A funeral Mass will be conducted by Father Eric Pitre at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 816 Park St., La Porte, Texas, at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007. The Knights of Columbus will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas. Mr. Coleman's granddaughter, Leann Coleman, will play "Taps" during the flag-folding ceremony to honor an Army veteran. A Rosary was held at the Paul U. Lee-La Porte Funeral Home Chapel at 7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 15. on January 16, 2007.1

She was an avid gardener and made the most amazing canned goods. She was a devout Catholic who celebrated her faith by serving the church for numerous years. She taught Sunday school and religion and loved her faith. She has left a legacy of memories along her way. She has now joined her husband Thomas M. Coleman in heaven. He sang in the Presbyterian Church choir for over 35 years, was an early member of the Akron Civic Chorus, and was a Mason. He read and studied a wide range of subjects, and when his children were in college and could not find a textbook, it was usually because he was reading it. He will be missed by all who knew him, whenever we walk in the woods, or near a beach, or hear any music from the era of the big bands. Greatly loved, he will be greatly missed. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. A funeral service will be held at the United Presbyterian Church, 2819 Hudson Dr., Cuyahoga Falls, at 11 a.m. Friday, Dr. Richard A. Hasler officiating. A Masonic service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Georgia was born July 10, 1923 in Clendenin, living the majority of her life in South Charleston. She worked in the men's department at Frankenberger's and Schawbe-May. She later became the first meter maid in South Charleston. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, George and Leora Babcock; and husbands, T.H. Cobbs Sr. and Thomas Hines. She is survived by her son, Thurman Cobbs and his wife, Virginia, of South Charleston; stepdaughter, Joyce Ciliberti of South Charleston; grandson, Randall Cobbs and wife, Katie, of South Charleston; great-grandsons, Ian and Owen Cobbs of South Charleston; sisters, Gay Moore of Eustis, Fla., and Neva Jarvis of Lady Lake; and brother, George Babcock Jr. of Columbus, Ohio. The family would like to thank Georgia's caregivers, her niece, Becky, and sister, Neva Jarvis, for all their love, care and compassion. A memorial service to honor the life of Georgia will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, at Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston, with Pastor Ron Schlak Jr. officiating. Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Church of the Ascension, Hurricane, with the Rev. Jeremiah Cullinane officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Park, Hurricane. on June 24, 1987.3

     Sara Lou Van Meter Sara VanMeter Burlingame, 86, of Ravenswood, WV, went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2020, at Ravenswood Village. Sara was a graduate of Huntington High School in 1951. After graduation, she was employed with C & P Telephone Company as a toll and overseas operator. She served as Service Assistant Training Operator and Administrative Assistant to the Division Traffic Manager. Sara married the love of her life, Jack Dempsey Burlingame, in June of 1956. They started their life in Clarksburg, WV, where they adopted two little baby girls, Tracey Sue and Holli Mae. Sara was a devoted wife and mother and a contributor to her community serving as Camp Fire Girls troop leader, Sunday school teacher, PTA parent, Treasurer to Senator Karen Facemire, Charter member of the Jackson County Pilot Club, and President of the Mountain Craft Art & Craft Fair in 1998-1999. Sara is survived by her brother, Irvin VanMeter Junior (Mrs. Nancy VanMeter) of Charleston, and her daughter, Holli (Mr. Brocklin Vanater); grandchildren, Christine, Heather, Joshua, and Sara; great grandchildren, River, Jack, Ella, Noah, and Sage; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Mattie Mae; infant son, Stephen Drew; daughter, Tracey; and husband of 53 years, Jack D. Burlingame. Sincere thanks to the devoted and loving staff at Ravenswood Village. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020, at 12:00 pm at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood with Pastor Chris Skeens officiating.
