Mr. Camper was a Meat Cutter with Kroger and Valleydale Plant for many years before retiring and starting his own business, Camper Painting. He was also a Director at the North Roanoke Rec. Club, coached many youths in sports and was an avid NASCAR fan. All will dearly miss a very loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife, Betty Camper; a son, Gerald Camper Jr. (Michelle); daughter, Delores Watkins (Steve); grandchildren, Nathan and Ethan Camper; special granddaughter, Halie Watkins; siblings, Richard Camper (Sylvia), Faye Keen (Bob), and Judy Sipe, and a sister-in-law, Janet Camper. on December 6, 2018.4
