     Mary Josephine Reed was born on December 30, 1943 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.2 As of 1963,her married name was Myers.1 She married Jerry Thornton Myers, son of John Myers and Blanche Irene Dunbar, in 1963.1,4,5,3 Mary Josephine Reed died on February 26, 2023 at Blackstone, Nottoway Co., Virginia, at age 79.3 She MYERS, Mary Jo, 79, of Blackstone, Va., passed peacefully at home with her devoted husband of 61 years, Jerry and their daughters by her side on Sunday, February 26, 2023. She was predeceased by her parents, Prince and Virginia Elizabeth Deel Reed; and sister, Margaret Hatcher. Mary Jo was a dedicated loving wife and mother. She was an active member of Rocky Hill UMC, was President of Virginia Young Homemakers and former Girl Scout Leader. Mary Jo is survived by her husband, Jerry T. Myers; loving daughters, Katrina Eisenhauer (Kevin) and Tamra Reekes (Stanley Jr.); son-in-law, Chuck Fore (Judy); four granddaughters, Stephanie Bateman (Patrick), Andrea Shell (Tommy), Whitney Bishop (Cory) and Katie Reekes (Jacob); six great-grandchildren, Daniel Shell, Bailey Bateman, Anna Blake Shell, Ellie Bateman, Brynn Bateman and Palmer Bishop. She is also survived by four sisters, Shirley Witt, Rachel Ayers, Jean Shell and Juanita Whorley; a brother, William "Bill" Reed (Lois); and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank St. Francis Medical Center and James River Hospice. A very special thanks to Karla, Renee, Allie, Jen, Bridget and Chaplain Thomas. on March 1, 2023.3

     Billy Clyde Myers Billy Clyde Myers of Troutville, born March 20, 1944, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, March 5, 2016. His parents John and Blanche Myers, brother, David Myers, a sister, Joann Dize, and a brother-in-law, Jerry Moore preceded him. Left to cherish his memory are the love of his life, Sharon Moore Myers, his wife of 47 years; Also surviving are his siblings, Patty and husband Junior Johnson, Jean Collins, Jerry and wife Mary Jo Myers, Betty June and husband Melvin Reed; sisters-in-law, Kathy Moore, Peggy and husband Edward Speed, a special brother-in-law, Amon and wife Margie Moore; his dedicated border collie, Molly B Maid. Billy also enjoyed great blessings from his nieces, and nephews, Cassie, Keen, J.D., Tony, Scylenea, Michael, Heather, and Mark, Tamera, Katrina, Pamela, and Karen. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Billy was a founding member of Roanoke Advent Christian Church. He was an avid Ford classic car lover and owner, a hobby that he enjoyed along with many close friends. His legacy includes being a “hero” as many called him. He was awarded numerous gold, silver, and bronze medals as a Paralympian. While weighing only 147 pounds, he held a Pan American Light Weight Bench Press record of 350 lbs. for 11 years. Billy was a proud member of Roanoke Star City Saints wheelchair basketball team and received many All Star and Most Valuable Player awards. Billy told many people “I do not focus on what I cannot do; I am just determined to do whatever I want and can do”. There really was not much he could not do. The family would like to give a special thank you to those individuals who have been encouraging, and helpful to Billy, especially his Adams Construction family during his recent retirement and employment. He was a long time employee at Adams Construction Company for forty-seven years.4 He was born on March 20, 1944 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.3,4,5 He married Sharon Dawn Moore on December 14, 1968 at Augusta Co., Virginia.3,4 Billy Clyde Myers died on March 5, 2016 at Virginia at age 71.4

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Boyd Dooley; daughter, Patty Craft; and two grandsons, Shannon Pendleton and Anthony Dooley Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Colleen Robertson Dooley; a son, Anthony Dooley Sr. and his wife, Edna; two daughters, Trudy Blankenship and her husband, Paul, and Donna Parks and her husband, Matthew; five brothers, Tommy and his wife, Hazel, Kenneth and his wife, Robin, Lewis and his wife, Nancy, Donald and his wife, Sandy, and Robert and his wife, Vicky; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2012, at the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Graveside Military Honors afforded by members of the Virginia Army National Guard Funeral Honors Team. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday (this evening), September 19, 2012, at the funeral home. on September 19, 2012.2

He loved camping, four-wheeling, and tinkering with lawnmowers. Robert retired as a mechanic from Lawrence Transfer after 33 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Marshall Dooley Sr. and Mae Myers Dooley, and brothers, Marshall "Junior," Boyd, and Tommy Dooley. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Vicky Crowder Dooley; daughters, Michelle and Ronnie Yopp, Deborah and Michael Ayers, Sharon and Doyle Guilliams; brothers, Kenneth and Robin Dooley, Lewis "Buddy" and Nancy Dooley, and Donald and Sandy Dooley; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.      Mida Colleen Robertson Mida Colleen Robertson Dooley, 82, of Salem, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. She was born in Pulaski, a daughter of the late Frank E. and Eliza Jane Robertson and had been an area resident all of her life. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoyed fishing, was an avid New York Yankees fan, and most of all enjoyed doting on her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marshall Dooley, Jr; a daughter, Patty Craft; her son, Anthony Dooley, Sr; two grandsons; two brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Trudy Blankenship and her husband, Paul, and Donna Parks and her husband, Matthew. She is also survived by a brother, Jake Robertson and wife, Edna; a sister, Annie Mae Horton; 12 grandchildren, Melissa, Angel, Jennifer, Sarah, Jim P., Jim B., Tina, Marshall, Sandy, Sissy, Buddy and Joe, 25 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.3 She was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.3 She was born on June 2, 1933 at Pulaski, Pulaski Co., Virginia.2,4,3 As of November 19, 1949,her married name was Dooley.2 She married John Marshall Dooley Jr., son of John Marshall Dooley Sr. and Mae Myers, on November 19, 1949 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.1,2,5 Mida Colleen Robertson died on March 15, 2016 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 82.3
