In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters. She was the last of 13 children. Martha is survived by her husband, Robert Ervin Nowlin; two daughters, Sylvia Ann Blankenship and husband, Jim, and Debra Mae Anderson and husband, Jeff; five grandchildren, Jason, Heather, Sarah, Wendy, and Jamie; five great-grandchildren, Josh, "Little Mae," Sierra, Carolyn, and Abigail; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2009, in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem with Richard Britt officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Salem Rescue Squad, 201 S.
