     Terry Thomas Curtis was born on August 29, 1933 at Culpeper Co., Virginia.² He married Nancy Jo Silvers, daughter of Joseph Andrew Silvers and Ada Florence Light, on July 30, 1955 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.^1,4,2,3 Terry Thomas Curtis died on October 27, 2015 at Virginia at age 82.² He Terry Thomas Curtis, 82, of Christiansburg, left the world behind to walk with the Lord on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. He was born on August 29, 1933, in Culpepper County, the son of the late Raymond Wellington Curtis and Anne Virginia Curtis. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sallie Anne Clements. Terry served in both the United States Navy and Air Force. He retired from the Federal Government in June 1992, with the last 8 ½ years working at the Pentagon. Terry was an avid fisherman, loved playing cards and working jigsaw puzzles. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy Jo Silvers Curtis; his daughters, Barbara Harman and her husband Brad, Dianna Sheesley and her husband George, Terri Jo Mangia and her husband Steve; son, Anthony Curtis and his wife Tracy; six grandchildren, Bryce Harman, Bailey Harman Danner and husband Chris, Jana Curtis, Milton Sheesley, Megan Sheesley, and Derek Sheesley; as well as his sister, Bettie Lee Boldridge and her husband John. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 31, 2015, from 12 to 2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. in the Chapel, with Ersell Alderman officiating. Interment with full military rites will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. John moved to Charlotte in January 1955 and worked for Soule Steel for 10 years. He then went into business with his brother doing structural steel detailing for Steel-Fab Southern Steel and others until 1992. He also worked briefly for Duke Power in the 1970's. He retired from Cad Vantage, a company he started in 2006. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Eisenhower from 1948 to 1952. John married Lois Loraine Conner of Shawsville, VA on March 3, 1956. Loraine passed away on August 21, 1990. John was preceded in death by his parents, wife, infant daughter, Mollie Laird Denny, and brother David William Denny. He is survived by his son, Stuart Wayne Denny and wife, Alison Ann Mott Denny of Melbourne, FL; daughter, Denise Glenn Denny McDonald and husband Keith Paul McDonald of Seneca, SC; granddaughters, Jessica Marie Denny and Amanda Nicole Denny of Palm Bay, FL; grandsons, Ryan Paul McDonald and Conner Thomas McDonald of Seneca, SC; sister, Karen Warner Denny of Roanoke, VA; brothers, Garland Bram Denny and wife Margaret Anne of Monroe, NC; Charles Edward Denny and wife Sandy of Salem, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews and good friends. Johnny enjoyed NC State ball games, NASCAR races and Final Four Basketball games with his family and friends. He was a longtime member of the Oasis Shriners and Wagoneers. He was also a member of the East Gate Lodge. Burial to follow at Sharon Memorial Park Mausoleum. on February 28, 2007.³
