     Rebecca Marie McKinstry Rebecca (McKinstry) Sacramone, 71, passed away Friday, Aug. 26th, at home under the care of her loving husband and hospice care. Becky is survived by her husband of forty years, John Sacramone; her mother Mary Lou McKinstry of Charlton; her brother, Greg McKinstry and his partner Sandy Bremer of Brookfield; three sisters Victoria McKinstry of Sturbridge, Cindy Lou McKinstry of Sturbridge and Susan Hapgood and husband Peter of The Villages, FL; her brother-in-law, William Sacramone and his wife Doreen of Port Orange, FL; two nephews Sean McKinstry and Gabe Simonelli; three nieces Meghan Mazzaferro, Sara Jane McKinstry and Jesslyn Thrasher; and grand nieces and nephews. Becky was born in Roanoke, VA the daughter of Morgan and Mary Lou (Poff) McKinstry and lived most of her life in Southbridge before moving to Thompson, CT and then finally Brookfield. Becky graduated from Southbridge High School and attended Massachusetts College of Art. During this period Becky honed her artistic skills which would lead to a lifelong knack for taking the ordinary and turning it into some special. She worked at Galileo in Sturbridge during its early stages and stayed until it's closing. She then went on to work at the Southbridge News where she put her artistic skills to use once again in the preparation of the daily newspaper. When the News went through changes Becky moved on to work for the Central MA VNA where she specialized in the Hospice program. She received numerous letters from families thanking her for her dedicated professional services she rendered while taking care of a loved one during their final days. She made a difference in a very difficult time of life. After moving to Thompson, CT Becky set out on a new path, she began buying and selling antiques out of a shop in Woodstock, CT. It was here at Woodstock Antiques where Becky really shined. Becky appreciated and loved all that was beautiful in life. She was an avid yard saler and took other peoples cast offs and refurbished and restored them to their former luster. She had an eye for the unusual which quickly turned into some one else's enjoyment. Becky also loved all creatures great and small. Any animal in distress that was fortunate to find their way to her door was taken care of and found a home. She was an avid gardener; her home was always decorated with flowers, inside and out. She loved to travel and later in her life was fortunate enough to visit such places as Thailand, Laos, Burma, and Italy. Many trips were taken with her husband to the Caribbean, Dominican Republic and numerous trips to Mexico. Maine was her favorite local destination and many trips were spent kayaking the rivers and ponds of Maine. Becky loved adventure and her husband was always more than willing to join in on the fun. The family is deeply appreciative of the tender and professional care provided by the Central MA Hospice over the last month. Chet was born in Shady Valley, Tennessee on May 26, 1927 to the late Martha Walker Gentry and Roderick Gentry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Raytheon Company in 1989, after 31 years of service. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren since his retirement. Chet served on the Town Council in Damascus from 1984 - 1986, 1990 - 1998, and was presently serving since July 2004. He was a member of the V. F. W. Post No. 9830 and the American Legion Post No. 0135. He was a 39 year member of the Liberty Hall Masonic Lodge No. 104, where he served as master in 1972. He was a member of the Desert Sands Shrine Club in Abingdon, Virginia, and the Kazim Temple in Roanoke, Virginia, and was very active in transporting crippled and burned children to the Shriner's Hospitals in Greenville, South Carolina and Cincinnati, Ohio. He was an honorary member of the Damascus Volunteer Rescue Squad. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Damascus. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy Poff Gentry; a daughter, Valarie Gentry Johnson, and her husband, Rick, of Abingdon, Virginia; and two very special grandchildren, Justin and Erica Johnson, of Abingdon, Virginia; a special nephew, Jack Hutchins, of Shady Valley, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews. The committal service and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Damascus. A Masonic graveside service will be conducted by the Liberty Hall Masonic Lodge No. 104 and military rites will be presented by the Highlands Fellowship Veterans Honor Guard. After high school Lea left Montrose, to return in 1997. Lea was very active in Montrose Christian Church, as well as volunteering at the Pregnancy Center, Montrose History Museum, and Republican Women. Lea's love for Christ and her family were foremost. She was employed in various secretarial capacities in Denver and Houston, retiring from Schlumberger in 1985. She enjoyed travel to all 50 states, Europe, Israel, Brazil, Mexico and Canada. Lea is survived by her husband of 38 years, Charles; sons, Russell (Linda) Ewan of Larkspur, Colorado, John (Ines) Ewan of Erie, Colorado; daughter Lori Jane Howard (Jon) Dowdle of Bloomfield, Colorado; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Lee Chick and Iva Pearl (Poff) Chick; husbands, Lowell Eugene "Gene" Ewan and Benjamin "Ben" George Howard; and sister, Marylin Blume.³ Her married name was Ewan.³ She married Lowell Eugene "Gene" Ewan.³ Leona M. She was a member of the Hyannis Volunteer Fire Department and United Church of Christ, where she was active with Kings Daughters and teaching Sunday and Bible School. Survivors are her husband, of the home; five daughters, Lydia Tucker and Lucinda Chick of Hyannis, Laurie Mochel of Roeland Park, Kan., Ladonna Lemley of Lyman and Lorena Rockwell of North Platte; two brothers, James Wright of Hyannis and Cyrus Wright of Hermosa, S.D; two sisters, Therldean Williams of Hermosa and Shariene Jenkins of Ansley; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two grandchildren. Burial will be in the Hyannis Cemetery. on July 27, 1999.²
