     Jerry Charles Carpenter was buried at Daniels Cemetery, Little Plumtree Creek Road, Hughes, Avery Co., North Carolina.³ He Jerry Charles Carpenter, age 69, of Newland, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at his home. He was born on November 23, 1950 in Banner Elk, North Carolina, a son of the late Jackson Albert Carpenter and the late Wanda Woods Carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jerry was a school bus mechanic for the Avery Co. Bus Garage for many years. He enjoyed fixing cars and watching races but his favorite thing to do was drag racing. He was a great Husband, Father and Grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and loved them all. Jerry leaves behind to cherish his memory his: Wife of 47 years, Amy Clark Carpenter of Newland, NC; Daughter, Heather (Toby) Ragan of Pineola, NC, Daughter, Hilary (Jason Shaw) Carpenter of Cary, NC, Grandchildren: Trevor Benfield, Roma Benfield, Erin Benfield, Harper Shaw, Rowan Shaw, Sister, Janice Vance, Sister, Joyce (David) Gortney, and his nieces and nephews. Interment will follow in Daniels Cemetery.³ He was born on November 23, 1950 at Banner Elk, Avery Co., North Carolina.^2,3 He married Amy Clark circa 1972.³ Jerry Charles Carpenter died on December 7, 2019 at Newland, Avery Co., North Carolina, at age 69.³

     Her Social Security Number was 412-24-2247.² Mary Jane Harris was buried at Rust Cemetery, Bristol, Sullivan Co., Tennessee.¹ Her married name was Wood.¹ She married Thomas Haynes Wood, son of William Washington Wood and Lottie Jane Farmer.¹ Mary Jane Harris was born on April 11, 1925 at Sullivan Co., Tennessee.^2,1 She died on April 19, 2009 at Bristol, Sullivan Co., Tennessee, at age 84.^2,1 She Mary Jane Wood, age 84, went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2009, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born in Sullivan County, a daughter to the late Harvey and Minnie Bell Chambers Harris. Mary Jane was a lifelong resident of the area and a former employee of Big Jack Manufacturing. She had been a member of True Faith Tabernacle for 35 years and was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Haynes Wood, and a son, Tommy Wood. Survivors include children, Gary Wood and wife Jean, Cathy Rogers and husband Doug, Denice Osborne and husband Doug and Rebecca S. Wood Miller; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and very special friend, Tammy Gobble. Committal services will be at Rust Cemetery. on April 20, 2009.¹

     Thomas Wayne "Tommy" Wood was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, 1019 East Valley Drive, Bristol, Virginia.² He was born on May 12, 1949 at Bristol, Sullivan Co., Tennessee.² He died on October 8, 1949 at Bristol, Sullivan Co., Tennessee.²

     Clarence W. "C. W." Tolbert was buried at Rust Cemetery, Bristol, Sullivan Co., Tennessee.² His Social Security Number was Clarence W. "C.W." Wood, age 71, of Blountville, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 12, 2015, at his residence. He was born January 19, 1944 in Newland, N.C. C.W. lived most of his life in the Bristol area. He retired from Ross Prestressed Concrete Inc. C.W. attended South Chapel Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dora June Watson Wood; his mother, Nell Tolbert; three special aunts, Vinnie Carpenter, Lucy Sparks, Wanda Carpenter; and special uncles, Haynes and Jack Wood. Survivors include His Daughter, Christine Marie Wood and boyfriend Eugene Potter; Sisters, Patricia Cross and husband Phillip, Darlene Price and husband Frank, and Bonnie Moore and husband Jackie; Brothers, David Tolbert, Gearold Tolbert and wife Sarah, Bill Tolbert and wife Darlene, Ronnie Tolbert and wife Cindy, and JR Tolbert and wife Tina; Special Aunts, Gladys Arnold and husband Sid, Christine Booher; and Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. The interment will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Rust Cemetery. Pallbearers will be C.W.'s brothers.² He married Dora June "Dorie" Watson.² Clarence W. "C. W." Tolbert was born on January 19, 1944 at Newland, Avery Co., North Carolina.² He died on April 12, 2015 at Blountville, Sullivan Co., Tennessee, at age 71.²
