She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Bristol, TN, for many years, where she sang God's praises in the True Blue Quartet. She worked at the Dominion Bank in Bristol and later at General Motors after moving to Martinsburg. She leaves behind a son, Bradley Martin and wife, Kim of Hedgesville; a daughter, Gina Ashworth and her fiance, Chuck Summers of Martinsburg; four grandchildren, Kendra Martin, Ashley Mongan, Bradley "Jay" Martin and C. J. Summers. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Remington, Artz. She will also be missed by her step-son, Clyde Hugh Dent; step-daughters, Dale Hough, Carol Gruver, Joyce Lamp and their families. She leaves behind numerous friends and family in Bristol, TN, in Fort Lauderdale, Bill and Shirley Burrell and in College Park she leaves her dear friends Betty Flurry, Dr. Paul Bender, Carl and Esther Snow and very special friend, Mickey Siedman. Wood, Sr; her brothers, Ralph, Herman, Jack, and Carl Musick; her sister, Byrd Gibson, and her son in law Gary Jarrett. She was a native of Russell County, Virginia, and had lived in Bluff City for the majority of her life. Mrs. Wood was a graduate of Honaker High School and a member of the Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church in Bristol, Tennessee. She was known as a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
