     Beulah Louise Gross was buried at Rooty Branch Cemetery, 551 Rooty Branch Road, Bristol, Sullivan Co., Tennessee.^4,3 Her Social Security Number was 414-48-0252.² She BRISTOL, Tenn. – Beulah Wood went to be with the Lord Friday, May 11, 2007, at her home. She was born Jan. 26, 1931, in Sullivan County, Tenn., a daughter of the late J.C. and Mollie Gross. Beulah was a charter member of Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church, where she served faithfully for over 45 years. Her service included Sunday school teacher, VBS teacher, choir member, ladies auxillary and church-wide fellowship leader. Beulah was a faithful wife to Jack for over 57 years. Her daughter and grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. Nothing made her happier than spending time with them and watching them grow into servants of the Lord Jesus Christ. She was loved by everyone, especially her brothers, who remember fondly her sense of humor, her famous chicken and dumplins and homemade rolls and her big-sisterly advice. Beulah will be greatly missed, but her family rejoices in the knowledge that she is now with her Lord and Savior, whom she so richly loved and served, and they look forward to a great family reunion in heaven one day soon. Survivors include hus-band, Buren "Jack" Wood; daughter, Donna Guinn and husband Tim; grandchildren, Nathan Guinn and Hannah Guinn; brothers, James Gross and wife Shirley, Clayton Gross and wife Jennell and Ralph Gross and wife Sue; nieces, Vickie Tranum and husband Mark and daughters, Amanda and Mollie Angela Tranum and daughter Julie Ashkettle; and nephews, Tim Gross and wife Mary and son Trevor and Jimmy Gross and wife Angie and children Ashley and Justin. The burial will follow at the Rooty Branch Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Gross, Trevor Gross, Justin Gross, Mark Tranum, Nathan Guinn and Bill Hinkle. Honorary pallbearers will be Buster Rogers, Jim Potter, Elmer Ollis, Gary Webster, Mark Fields and Sidney Arnold.      John Clark Holbrook Jr. was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, 1019 East Valley Drive, Bristol, Virginia.² His Social Security Number was 225-34-2791.⁴ He was born on October 4, 1929 at Dante, Dickenson Co., Virginia.^2,4,5,6 He married Susie Marie Robinson, daughter of Daniel O. "Dan" Robinson and Anna Lee "Annie" Wood, on September 1, 1951 at Bristol, Sullivan Co., Tennessee.^1,3,7 John Clark Holbrook Jr. died on December 31, 1983 at Kingsport, Sullivan Co., Tennessee, at age 54.^2,6,7 He John C. Holbrook, 54, of 809 East Valley Drive, Bristol, Va., died Saturday morning in the Holston Valley Community Hospital, Kingsport, Tenn. He was a native of Dickenson County, Va., having made his home in Bristol for the past 35 years. He was president of Tri-Cities Security Co., the North American Security Co. and B. & H. Bonding Co. He was a member of Woodland Baptist Church, member of King Masonic Lodge No. 461 and was a veteran of the Occupational Forces of Okinawa. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Susie Robinson Holbrook; two daughters, Mrs. Barry (Joyce) Myers, Blountville, Tenn., and Judy Holbrook of the home; seven sisters, Mrs. Nona Jones, Mt. Clemens, Mich., Mrs. Alice Harley and Mrs. Joann Phillips, both of Bristol, Mrs. Bonnie White, Langley Park, Md., Mrs. Donna Harris, Lynco, W.Va., Mrs. Bessie Phillips, Trammel, Va., Mrs. Edith Phillips, Dante, Va; one brother, Bill Holbrook, Bristol; two half brothers, Jackson Holbrook, Okeechobee, Fla., and Ed Holbrook, Norton, Va; two grandchildren. on January 1, 1984.⁷

     Joyce Faye Holbrook was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, 1019 East Valley Drive, Bristol, Virginia.² Her Social Security Number was 231-80-0502.⁵ Her married name was Myers.¹ She and Barry Ray Myers Sr. were divorced.⁶ Joyce Faye Holbrook married Barry Ray Myers Sr.^1,4 Joyce Faye Holbrook was born on June 1, 1952 at Bristol, Virginia.^2,5,3 She died on November 19, 1986 at Johnson City, Washington Co., Tennessee, at age 34.^2,6 She Joyce Holbrook Myers, 34, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1986, in Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Bristol and had lived most of her live here. She was a member of Gateway Baptist Church and was on the faculty at Gateway Christian School. She was a graduate of Virginia High School and received a bachelor's of science degree from East Tennessee State University in 1974. Survivors include one daughter, Misty Michelle Myers, of the home; one son, Barry Ray Myers II, of the home; her mother, Mrs. John (Susie) Holbrook, Bristol one sister, Miss Judy Holbrook, Bristol; the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Anna Lee Robinson, Bristol; and several aunts and uncles. on November 20, 1986.⁶

     Barry Ray Myers Sr. and Joyce Faye Holbrook were divorced.³ Barry Ray Myers Sr. Beloved husband, father and friend, Barry Ray Myers Sr., age 62, went to be with the Lord on June 26, 2012 after injuries suffered in a car accident the day prior. Barry was a retired Master Trooper with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, serving the public faithfully for over 36 years. A long-time resident of Blountville, Barry was well known and loved in the community. He was a member of Virginia Avenue Baptist Church where he acted as Sunday School and Pre-School Director, taught the 5-year-old class and was co-leader of the Men's Prayer Group. Barry could regularly be found singing with the Appalachian Express Barbershop Chorus, where he sang bass, or working at his wood lathe, where he enjoyed turning pens, bowls and other small crafts. He was also a 32° Mason and Jericho Shriner. Barry was predeceased by his father, Ray and mother, Mary. He is survived by his wife, Chestalene, three children: Misty and her husband Cliff, Barry Ray and his wife Stacy, and Brian, as well as three grandchildren: Madalen, AnnaLeigh and Bailey. He also leaves behind several nephews, neices and cousins. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be officers of the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
