     Lena Belle Persinger was buried at Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor, Alleghany Co., Virginia.² She Mrs. Lena Belle Persinger Elmore, age 93, of Covington, died Sunday, September 6, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her family who had taken care of her. She was the wife of the late Arthur Clarence Elmore to whom she was married for fifty-five years. Mrs. Elmore was born February 6, 1927 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late John Ira Persinger and Clara Jane Persinger. She was a longtime and active member of Cliffdale Christian Church. Lena loved being outdoors especially working in her flower beds and garden and going fishing. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family leaving lasting memories for them especially her daughter, Linda, who considered her “her best friend”. Mrs. Elmore is survived by a two daughters, Doris E. Fatzinger and husband, Don and Linda E. Simmons and husband, Harry; a daughter-in-law, Ginger Elmore; eight grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a brother, Charles Persinger of Covington; a sister, Hazel Fuller of Hiwass; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Elmore was preceded in death by a son, Arthur (Buck) Elmore. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 9, 2020, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Christian officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Timmy Elmore, Bobby Curtis, Tony Smith, Dean Fuller, Chris Fatzinger and Jeff Keifer.      Arthur Haden Elmore Arthur Haden (Buck) Elmore, age 67, of 209 Rose Hill Lane, Rich Patch, Covington, Virginia, died Monday, March 4, 2013 at home. Buck was born September 9, 1945 in Albemarle County to Arthur Clarence and Lena Persinger Elmore. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a retired production operator at A.E.T. and was a farmer and beef cattle producer. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Ginger Webb Elmore of Rich Patch, Covington; his mother, Lena Persinger Elmore of Rich Patch; two daughters, Lisa Curtis and husband, Bobby, and Kathy Buchanan and husband, David, both of Clifton Forge; a son, Timmy Elmore and wife, Brittany of Rich Patch, Covington; two sisters, Doris E. Fatzinger and husband, Don of Ebensburg, PA, and Linda Simmons and husband, Harry of Covington; his mother-in-law, Nora Webb of Clifton Forge; five grandchildren, Tristan Elmore, Carlee Elmore, Mazi Elmore, Daniel Curtis, and Jared Anderson; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service was held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Elder James Arritt and Elder Basil Sampson officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Rich Patch, Covington. Active pallbearers will be Dean Fuller, Freddie Tucker III, Faron Stull, Dale Stull, Ellis Stull, Page Wolfe, Jr., W. L. Tingler, Roy Loudermilk, Shawn Wolfe, Ray Lockhart, Ray Crush, and Harold Higgins.
