He was, preceded in death by parents, one brother, Elmer "Bus" Gatrell and two sisters, Doris Gatrell and Lois Pinney. Mr. Gatrell was a retired electrician at the Goodyear Atomic Corporation. The funeral will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Howe-Wheeler-Boyer-Hornback Funeral Home, Piketon, with Rev. Allen Jones officiating. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Parsons Cemetery, Parsons, W.Va. on April 23, 1994.5

He was born July 23, 1923 at Carnegie, Pa., a son of the late Howard J. Pinney and Pearl Browning Pinney. He was married to the former Lois Gatrell, who preceded him in death January 3, 1991. They had celebrated fifty years of marriage. Surviving are two sons; John Pinney and wife Carlotta of Crisfield, Md., and Richard Pinney of Barnegat Light, NJ., four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother; Howard E. Pinney. He was a graduate of Parsons High School where he starred in basketball. He served with the United States Navy during World War II. He was an Aviation Metalsmith repairing aircraft in the Marshall Islands. Early in his career he worked for the Glenn L. Martin Company in Middle River, Md. While living there, he founded the Hawthorn Little League and co-founded the local Teen Center. He worked as a tool and die maker at Boeing Vertol in Morton, Pa and later a Container Research in Aston, Pa, where he retired. He enjoyed traveling to visit relatives and old friends and meeting new friends at the Hometown Senior Center in Media. He enjoyed playing cards, photography and being the neighborhood handyman. The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Monday, April 25, 2005 from 10 to 11 AM the funeral hour, with The Reverend David Fuller officiationg. Interment will follow at the Parsons City Cemetery.2 His Social Security Number was 235-20-1325.5 He married Lois E. Gatrell, daughter of Elmer Francis Gatrell and Margaret V. Preceding her in death is one brother; Robert Bishop. She was a graduate of Trap Hill High School of WV with the class of 1954. She attended the Looper School of Business of Charleston, WV., and Morris Harvey Junior College at Charleston, WV. She was a former employee of the T-Bar, Inc., the Norwalk Model Engineering, the Danbury Business Institute, the Westchester Book/ Rainsford Type, the Intrex (ASI) Inc., all at Connecticut, she was a Publishing Typesetter for the Boehringer Ingelheim and she was an administrative assistant at the Danbury Hospital of CT. She was a member of the Holly Meadows Community Education Outreach Service and a member of the United Methodist Women of Parsons. She attended the Parsons Presbyterian Church. Donnia had a great love for bird watching and collecting angels. The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home from 6 to 9 PM on Friday. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at 11 AM.      Charles Robert "Chuck" Rightmire was buried at Parsons Cemetery, Parsons, Tucker Co., West Virginia.1 He was born on May 13, 1943 at Parsons, Tucker Co., West Virginia.1 He married Frances Kay Shipman on July 19, 1964 at Cumberland, Allegany Co., Maryland.1,2 Charles Robert "Chuck" Rightmire died on May 26, 2011 at Heath, Licking Co., Ohio, at age 68.1 He Charles Robert "Chuck" Rightmire, age 68 years, a former resident of Elkins, WV, and more recently a resident of Heath, OH, departed this life early Thursday morning, May 26, 2011, at his home. His death was attributed to cancer. He was born Thursday, May 13, 1943 at Parsons, WV a son of the late Frank R. and Maxine Reed Rightmire. On July 19, 1964 at Cumberland, MD he was married to the former Frances Kay Shipman, who preceded him in death July 9, 2003. They had celebrated thirty-eight years of marriage. The last two years he has spent with his special friend Elizabeth "Beth" Carlson of Ohio. Surviving are his daughter, April Rightmire Rogers and husband Jason, New Richmond Wl; and his two grand-daughters, Kayla Brittany Sheffield and Casey Kay Rogers He was a graduate of Elkins High School with the Class of 1960 and received a double major from Davis & Elkins College in 1965. He was a graduate assistant at West Virginia University before starting his career at Amchem in New Philadelphia, OH that began a thirty year career of traveling nationally and internationally as an executive of several large specialty chemical companies. Upon his retirement he wanted to give back to the community by volunteering at his grand daughters Elementary school as a teacher's assistant; at Fairfield Medical Center at Lancaster, OH as a patient advocate volunteer and finally as a "Health Care Reform" issue specialist for AARP He then came out of retirement to do business development work for Lithko Restoration at Columbus, OH until May 6, 2011. He was a member of the Lake Zurich Lions Club at Lake Zurich, IL and the New Philadelphia Lodge 177, F. & A. M. at New Philadelphia, OH. He will be remembered for his quick wit, one dollar bets, pranks, and in general his zeal for life and love The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Basil A. Hensley will officiate and interment will follow at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons, WV. on May 28, 2011.1

She had been in declining health since May 2003. Her death was attributed to cancer. She was born May 28, 1945, in Elkins, W.V., to the late Harley W. Shipman and Virginia Channel Shipman, who survives at Elkins. On July 19, 1964, she was married to Charles Robert Rightmire, who survives at Thornville. She graduated from Elkins High School, attended Davis and Elkins colleges and was an insurance executive working for Avreco Insurance Co. She also worked at Kemper Insurance Co., retiring in 1987, and Hospice of Central Ohio from 1993 until 1998. She was a Methodist and attended the First Baptist Church in Elkins. In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Rightmire is survived by one daughter, April Rightmire Sheffield of Heath; one sister, Margaret Shipman Coyner of Port Orange, Fla; one granddaughter, Kayla Brittany Sheffield; and one niece, Annette Coyner White. In addition to her father, Mrs. Rightmire was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia S. "Pat" Condry. on July 12, 2003.2
