     Ellen Marie Barnett was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.1,3 She Ellen Marie Poff (formerly Barnett), age 83, passed away on December 24, 2017 at Lewis Gale Hospital surrounded by family members. She was born October 29, 1934 to Berta Brown and Fred Barnett and lived all her life in Salem, Virginia. Ellen was a graduate of Andrew Lewis High School and married Earl Poff on January 8, 1955. Together, Ellen and Earl had three children. Ellen worked and retired from GE after 32 years in January of 1995. Ellen was a petite but feisty woman who, as a young lady, loved to roller skate and dance. Her greatest joy was raising and spending time with her children, she also played an important role in the lives of her grandchildren. As her health declined, her husband Earl was a faithful and loving husband, tending to her every need. Ellen is survived by her husband, Earl; her brother, Jerry Barnett; her children, Patti, Julie, and Eric; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.1 She was born on October 29, 1934 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.1 As of January 8, 1955,her married name was Poff.1 She married Earl Leander Poff, son of Oliver Hampton Poff and Sarah Blanche Richards, on January 8, 1955.1,2 Ellen Marie Barnett died on December 24, 2017 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 83.1

     Lena Mae Cherry was buried at Rynd Farm Cemetery, Rouseville, Venango Co., Pennsylvania.1 She was born on March 30, 1891 at Plumer, Venango Co., Pennsylvania.1 As of 1906,her married name was Barr.1 She married William Banks Barr, son of Albert Ross Barr and Rhoda Emma Whitehill, in 1906.1,2,3 Lena Mae Cherry Mrs. Lena Mae Barr, 49, died at her home at Rockland suddenly at 7 am Wednesday. She was ill for about an hour, and county coroner Dr. S. G. Foster issued a certificate of death due to a heart ailment. She was born at Plumer March 30, 1891, daughter of William and Alice Baney Cherry. She was a former Oil City resident and was very active in the affairs of the Salvation Army while here. She was a sister of Roy Cherry for whom the American Legion Post in Rouseville was named. She married William B. Barr in 1906, and he survives, with children Charles of Oil City, Eugene of Cranberry, Mrs. Florence Zambulan of Lewis Run, Harry of Coal City, Everett of Smith's Corners, Clarabelle, Betty, Bernice, and Alvin, all at home; and a brother, Lawrence Cherry of Kaneville. Services will be in Salvation Army Citadel at 2 pm Friday with Major Arthur Wheatley officiating. Burial will be in Rynd Farm Cemetery. on March 5, 1941.1 She died on March 5, 1941 at Rockland, Venango Co., Pennsylvania, at age 49.1

     Roy Eugene Barr was buried at Sunset Hill Memorial Park, Route 322, Cranberry Township, Venango Co., Pennsylvania.2,7 He was born on January 12, 1912 at Rouseville, Venango Co., Pennsylvania.7 He married Freda Elizabeth Lewis on April 20, 1930.3,7 Roy Eugene Barr died on November 5, 1993 at Titusville, Crawford Co., Pennsylvania, at age 81.7 He Roy E. Barr, 81, of 8 W. Fourth St., Oil City, died at 6:12 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 1993, in the Titusville Hospital. Mr. Barr was born, Jan. 12, 1912, in Rouseville, the son of the late William B. and Lena M. Cherry Barr. He was employed as a truck driver and disptacher for Refiners Transportation Corp. retiring in May of 1975. He married the former Freda M. Lewis on Arpil 20, 1930, in Shippenville. She survives. Also surviving are 10 children: Jean E. Reamn of Denver, Colo, William B. Barr of Meadville, Roy V. Barr of Tionesta, Freda M. Boochs of Venus, Shirley F. Chatley of Jacksonville, Fla; Claribel I. Bucholz of Denver, Colo., Nancy J. Frank of Kent, Wash., Dawn E. Butler of Tuscaloosa, Ala; Janet L. Voisin of York, Larry E. Barr of Oil City; five brothers and sisters, Florence Zamberlan of Strongsville, O., Everett P. Barr of Rockland, Claribel Hall of Centerville, Betty Harley of Rockland, Bernice Slayton of Centerville; 35 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, two brothers and two sisters, Chuck Barr, Alvin Barr, Edith Barr and Elsie Barr died previously. Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Home of Oil City, 110 Petroleum St., from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m Sunday, and attend the funeral service there Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. William C. Hopkins, pastor of Titusville Church of the will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens. on November 6, 1993.7
