Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Kerr Cemetery in Mineral Ridge. on May 21, 2000.3

Dick was a 1940 graduate of Cranberry High School. He served in the US Navy during World War II aboard the USS Rendova, in the catapult crew. Dick was first employed at Curtis Wright in Beaver in the experimental department welding airplane propellers. After he returned from the service, he worked in the circulation department of Venango Newspapers, becoming the circulation manager in the early 1960s. He retired in 1987. He also raised and sold Christmas trees in the 1950s and 1960s from his home off Bredinsburg Road. Dick was recognized for voting 50 years in a row. He will be remembered for his fun loving, kind and gentle nature. Dick was a member of the Seneca United Methodist Church and the Oil City Izaak Walton League. He served on the Cranberry School Board during the 1960s. Dick was an avid hunter, outdoorsman and amateur (Ham) radio operator, call letters WA3HYO. He was married Aug. 7, 1976, in the St. Stephen Chapel by the Rev. Charles Hocking, to the former Jean Jerko, and she survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Shirley Allison Fowler and husband Gary of San Marcos Texas; a son, James Allison and wife Mary Anne Moran Allison of Centennial Co; three grandchildren (triplets), Katie Allison, Jackson Allison and Colleen Allison, all of Centennial Co; and numerous nieces and nephews, among who is a special niece, Mary Beth Jerko. He also is survived by in-laws Bernice Faller of Oil City, Ann and Scott Shaffer of Greenville, Richard Mong of Seneca, Doris and Al Bucholz of Prosperity, S.C. and Sally Winger of San Diego Calif. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Phoebe Pryor, and his second wife, the mother of his children, June Winger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Morrison Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Stephen Church. Interment will follow in Rockland Cemetery. on April 13, 2012.7

She was a former Boy and Girl Scout leader, was a board member of the Red Cross and Abilities Unlimited and was a supporter of Ouachita Baptist University. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Barr; and her parents. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Cox and her husband Gene of Osceola; a son, Jerry Barr and wife Kay of Magnolia; and three grandchildren, Julia Barr of Magnolia, Eugene Cox and Carrie Cox, both of Osceola. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Memorial Baptist Church in Waldo with David Watkins, Mike Turner and Tom Elliott officiating. Burial will be in Cross Road Cemetery near Smackover under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home of Magnolia. Memorials may be made to Ouachita Baptist University or The Baptist Foundation. Active pallbearers will be Dan Waller, J.T. Cooper, Wayne Brown, Harold Fincher, David Clark, Danny Jackson, Ken Kenley and Ronald Mitchell. Honorees will be Pilot Club of Magnolia and members of the Gleaners Sunday School Class. on September 12, 2002.4

Mr. Eimers, 69, was born in Ripley February 5, 1892, and resided there all his life. He was a 35-year member of the Ripley Fire Department and also was a member of the Ripley Rod and Gun Club and the Ripley Methodist Church. He was a retired mechanic, formerly employed by the town and by the Ripley Central School. Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Mae Lewis Eimers, of Ripley, formerly of Seneca. Also surviving are two sons, Lewis Eimers, Cheektowaga, N. Y., and Guernon Eimers of Ripley; one daughter, Ardella Johnson, Angola, N. Y; three brothers, Frank and Harold Eimers, both of Ripley, and William of Port Jefferson, Long Island, N. Y; and one sister, Doris Bemis of Ripley. Mr. Eimers also had three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Mathews Funeral Home, Ripley. Rev. La Verne Proctor will be in charge. Interment will be at the East Ripley Cemetery. on June 8, 1961.6

Friends are being received at the Charles A. Morrison Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. James W. Grant, pastor of the First Free Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Brandon Cemetery. on April 29, 1974.4
