Richard A. Ishman was buried at Oakland Cemetery, 37 Mohawk Avenue, Warren, Warren Co., Pennsylvania.2 He Richard A. Ishman, 73, of 208 Dutch Hill Road, Warren, PA, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at the Warren General Hospital. Richard was born May 2, 1941, in Warren, PA, the son of the late Howard W. and Doris B. Ishman. Richard served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1979. His service time included time in both the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a well deserved recipient of the National Defense Service Medal; the Republic Of Vietnam Campaign Medal; the Armed Forces Medal; the Vietnam Service Medal Expeditionary Medal; the Vietnamese Cross Of Gallantry with palm; and the Good Conduct Medal. He and his wife were later active the USNS Corpus Christy Bay Alliance, a military retirement group. Following his service to his country, Richard was a tool and die maker for several years at Arro Tool and Die of Lakewood, NY. He was a family man who loved to work. He also enjoyed working on, and remodeling the house, and especially enjoyed his family. He is survived by his wife, Carol (Vandenburg) Ishman, whom he married on December 19, 1970; one daughter, Heather Cataldo and her husband Jerry, of Somerset, KY; four grandchildren, Kaitlin, of Warren, Logan, Chandler, Cassidy, and Delaney, of Somerset, KY; a sister, Helen Corley of Missouri, a brother, Robert Ishman, of Youngsville, PA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his beloved son, Darby A. Ishman; his beloved grandson, Jeffrey R. Ishman; one sister, Peggy Patch; and three brothers, William, Rusty and John Ishman, who died serving our country during his military service. Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, PA, on Friday, May 9, from 6 to 8 p.m., and at the Warren Alliance Church, 278 Kinzua Road, Warren, PA, on Saturday, May 10 for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Douglas McCracken, pastor, officiating. Military Honors will be bestowed by the members of the Sheffield and Clarendon VFW Honor Guard, and active duty US Army personnel.3 He was born on May 2, 1941 at Warren, Warren Co., Pennsylvania.3 He married Carol Jean Vandenburg, daughter of Russell Kenneth Vandenburg and Florence A. Fox, on December 19, 1970.1,3 Richard A. Ishman died on May 6, 2014 at Warren, Warren Co., Pennsylvania, at age 73.3

Lindell Ishman, whom he married on December 23, 1994; his daughter, Kaitlin Ishman, at home; a sister, Heather Cataldo, and her husband, Jerry, Somerset, KY; his grandmother, Florence Vandenburg; a brotherinlaw, Jared Lindell and his wife Karen; nieces and nephews, Tucker, Bryn, Logan, Chandler, Cassidy, and Delaney; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Darby was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey R. Ishman, on September 30, 2013, his grandfather whom he dearly loved, Rusty Vandenburg, and his fatherinlaw, Jeffrey Lindell. Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E, Warren, PA, on Monday, January 6, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on January 7, at the Lander United Methodist Church, at 11:00 am, with Rev. J. Mark Hurst, officiating. Burial will be in Foster Cemetery, Lander. on January 6, 2014.3

In addition to his parents, Jeffrey is survived by his older sister, Kaitlin, at home; maternal grandmother, Debra Nobles; paternal grandparents, Richard and Carol Ishman; maternal great grandmother, Olive Mae Lindell; and paternal great grandmother, Florence Vandenburg; uncle, Jared Lindell, and his wife Karen; aunt, Heather Cataldo and her husband Gerald; cousins, Tucker and Bryn, and Logan, Chandler, Cassidy, and Delaney, along with numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jeffrey Lindell; his great grandfather, Kenneth Lindell; great grandfather, Louis Nobles, and his great grandmother, Corinne Helga Nobles. He was also preceded in death by his friend and canine companion “Copper”. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Thursday, October 3, 20213 at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E., 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, Pa., 16365. The funeral will be held 11:00 am, on Friday, October 4, at the First Lutheran Church, 109 W. Third Ave., Warren, Pa. with The Rev. Jeffrey Ewing, officiating. Surviving are his four children, Katherine (Joshua) Austin, of Olean, Mark Dunham, of Stillwater, Okla., Christine Dunham, of Olean, and Ray (Viennia) Dunham IV, of Angelica; one brother, Michael Kranock; three sisters, Maryann Bridenbaker, Josephine Driscoll and Twila Sawyer; a lifelong friend, Mike Hendryx; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents. Burial will be at Mt. View Cemetery, Veterans Field of Honor. on September 29, 2014.1
