In addition to his sister, he is survived by his wife, and one daughter, Jean of Detroit; a brother, Thomas of Beckley; two half-sisters, Mrs. Effie Scott of Jackson, Ohio, and Mrs. Lola Conley of Winchester, Ky; and his mother, Mrs. Lawrence Vailes of Chicago, Ill. on August 12, 1953.4

She was a member of the Salvation Army. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Salvation Army Citadel with Captain Ray Clifford and Rev. L. G. Wertz officiating. Burial will be made in the city cemetery. on August 4, 1938.1
