She and her family lived here until June 1957, when then moved to Oregon. Funeral services were conducted at Eugene, Oregon, at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Kersten was the former Laudine Roberson, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Roberson, and was born here September 28, 1920. She was graduated from Wellington high school, and on July 4, 1941, was married to Ervin Kersten here. She is survived by her husband; a son and daughter, David and Deanna, both of the Springfield area, and one grandson, David Lewis Kersten, Jr. Other survivors are six brothers and sisters, Mrs. Raymond Mitchell and Otis Roberson of Wellington; Mrs. Ruby Riddle of Quanah; Loyd Roberson of Amarillo; Weldon Roberson of Oklahoma City; and Mrs. Loyd Langford of Pampa. on January 7, 1965.1

His hobbies included fishing, hunting and welding. He was a member of Plumbers and Fitters Local No. 290. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Deanna Glenn of Springfield; a son, David, of West Linn; three step-daughters, Connie Dumas and Sandy Myers, both of Springfield and Paula Falk of Pleasant Hill; a step-son, Philip Hausman of Poulsbo, WA; a brother, Fred Kersten Jr., Livingston, TX; Three sisters, Hattie Mae Witaker of Houston; Merkie Darby of Springfield and Helen Gilbert of Veneta; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. on May 15, 1997.2

She was a member of Eastern Star for several years. Naomi was the bookkeeper for John Deer for many, many years but prior to that she worked at many different places including City Grill, Morton Wilborns, Beatys, Rexall and Dairy Treat. She also ran the Snack Shack. Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Joveta Stone and one brother Jessie D. Burkhalter. She is survived by one son; Henry and wife Emma Jean Pape of Fort Worth, TX, two daughters; Frieda Brown and husband, Gene of Rhineland, TX, and Martha Pape of Munday, TX. Also, seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Interment will follow in Johnson Memorial Cemetery. on July 22, 2015.2
