Gertrude Ellon Frye was buried at Roselawn Burial Park, 103 Clearview Drive, Martinsville, Virginia.1 She was born on December 13, 1925 at Surry Co., North Carolina.1 As of June 20, 1945,her married name was Webb.2 She married Lloyd Coy Webb, son of Abraham Lincoln "Jess" "Jessie" Webb and Alberta Mae "Abertie" Hale, on June 20, 1945 at Danville, Virginia.1,2 Gertrude Ellon Frye died on October 15, 2015 at Danville, Virginia, at age 89.1 She Gertrude Frye Webb formerly of 441 Church Ave., Danville, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 15, surrounded by a loving family. She passed away at the home of her son, Wayne Webb (Kathy), with whom she had resided for the past 6 months until her death. She was bom in Surry County, N.C. near Mount Airy on December 13, 1925. She was born to Elijah Frye and Pearlie Manring Frye. She was married to Loyd Coy Webb, who predeceased her. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Moir Frye and RJ Frye; and two sisters, Octrola Frye Chitwood and Onabell Frye Wigginton. She is survived by three children, Wayne (Kathy) Webb of Gloucester, Va., Barbara Webb (Kenneth) Smith of Providence, N.C., and Sandra Webb of Alderson W.Va. She has five grandchildren, Carey Webb McManus of Gloucester, Va., Wayne (Beau) Webb Jr. of North Hollywood, Calif., Ellon Webb-Harvey of Suffolk, Va., Ashley Edge of Panama City, Fla., and Kenneth Smith Jr. of Providence, N.C; and two step grandchildren, Michael (Julie) Strickler of Avon, N.C., and Christopher (Ellen) Strickler of Stafford, Va. She has 11 great-grandchildren, Ryan and Hunter McManus, Delayne Dyson and Leland Webb-Dyson, Makaila, Christian, Tristan Edge; and step grandchildren, Abby, Chrissy, Scott, and Aubury Strickler. She is survived by one sister, Juanita Frye Davenport of Hampton, Va; and sister-in-law, Betty Frye of Union Hall, Va. Mrs. Webb also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. She worked in Dan River Mills for over 50 years in 4A Weave and later as a sitter for the elderly. Mrs. Webb was of the Baptist faith.The family appreciates the loving care given to our Mother by Kathy Webb, her sister, Mary Juanita Frye Davenport and Riverside Hospice of Gloucester until her death. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Martinsville, Va. on October 17, 2015.

Preceded in death by: siblings, John, Marie, Clara, Nannie Bell, Wilford, John, James, Eddie and Alice.3 He was born on February 20, 1948 at Danville, Virginia.1,2,3 He married Barbara Jean Webb, daughter of Lloyd Coy Webb and Gertrude Ellon Frye, on August 25, 1973 at Danville, Virginia.1 David William Ingram died on September 15, 2024 at Virginia at age 76.3

Jacob Samuel Sigmon Jacob Samuel Sigmon, Apr 26, 1943 - Aug 29, 2023. Jacob Samuel “Sammy” Sigmon, age 80, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, August 29th, after several years of declining health. Sammy was born in Danville, VA on April 26th, 1943 to Thomas M. Sigmon and Bertha Q. Sigmon, both of whom predeceased him. He lived the first half of his life in the Schoolfield community before moving to Pelham, NC where he was residing at the time of his death. A 1963 graduate of George Washington High School, Sammy worked at Dan River Mills before becoming a Danville City Fireman. Sammy was a quiet but fun loving guy. He loved to hunt, but his real passion was restoring and rebuilding Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He was an avid supporter of the NRA and a member of the Scorpions Motorcycle Club. He cherished his memories of his rides with his friends, especially to Daytona Beach, Fl. He would tell his niece “as soon as he got better” he was getting back on the road again. In addition to his parents, Sammy was predeceased by brothers Daniel T. Sigmon, Wiseman L. Sigmon, and sisters Goldie S. Sawyer and Lou S. Michaels. He is survived by his caregiver and niece, Lisa M. Cash (Joe) of Danville, and nephew Scott B. Michaels of Greensboro, NC. He is also survived by great nephew DJ Jones of Morrisville, NC and great niece Taylor J. Miller (Evan) of Charlotte, NC. A graveside celebration of Sammy’s life will be held at Schoolfield Cemetery with members of the Danville City Fire Department Honor Guard in attendance.3 He was buried at Schoolfield Cemetery, 360 Schoolfield Drive, Danville, Virginia.3 He was born on April 26, 1943 at Danville, Virginia.1,3,4 He married Shirley Jean Webb, daughter of Junus Carlie "Papa" Webb and Valetta Gladys Harvell, on December 31, 1963 at Danville, Virginia.1,2 Jacob Samuel Sigmon and Shirley Jean Webb were divorced on August 4, 1972 at Danville, Virginia.1 Jacob Samuel Sigmon died on August 29, 2023 at Virginia at age 80.3

Roy E. Moxley Sr. Roy E. Moxley Sr., age 91, of Street, MD, passed away on July 28, 2013 at his home. Born in Street, he was the son of the late Jesse Adam and Myrtle Douglas Moxley and husband of the late Anna Lee Epperley Moxley. A lifelong resident of Street, he founded Moxley's Welding and Machine Service in 1954. He retired in 1987, but continued to deliver trucks for the business until he was 90 years old. He was a longtime member of Dublin United Methodist Church and loved to travel, where he managed to cover all 50 states, and every province in Canada. At age 54 he earned his private pilot rating and enjoyed flying several types of single engine aircraft. He was also a member of the American Truck Historical Society and loved his antique Mack trucks. Mr. Moxley is survived by his son, Roy "Butch" Moxley Jr. and wife, Sandy, of Churchville; brother, Jesse Page Moxley of Street; grandson, Michael Moxley and wife, Julie; and great-grandchildren, Meaghan Moxley, Ashley Moxley and Michael "Mox" Moxley Jr. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brother, Ray T. Moxley. Pallbearers will be Mike Moxley Jr., Gary Moxley, Jesse Moxley, Daniel Epperley, Doug Epperley, Will Pritt, Jim Slaughter, and Gerald Harkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Coy Moxley Jr. and Chris Moxley.
