     Warren Joseph Smith Warren Joseph Smith, son of Warren Wesley Smith and Margaret Laurene Duree Smith, was born Nov. 6, 1948, in Osceola and died Dec. 28, 2001, at his rural home in Derby following an extended illness. He was 53. Mr. Smith was raised on the family farm in Clarke, Wayne and Decatur Counties. He graduated from Mormon Trail Community School in 1968. He married Sandra Marie Collins Sept. 18, 1971, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chariton. They became the parents of three children, Karri Jo, Jason and David. Mr. and Mrs. Smith made their home in the Derby area. He farmed and prior to his death was employed at the HyVee Warehouse in Produce and MFA. Mr. Smith enjoyed his work and being with people. He made any actvity fun, his jokes and pranks were enjoyed by all. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He deeply regretted his illness prevented him from Helping fellow neighbors with their projects. He was a devoted husband, father, brother and uncle. He loved being Papa Joe to his three grandchildren. Mr. Smith was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chariton. He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, Francis and Juanita Collins, sister-in-law, Rosemary Celander and nephews, Randy Smith and Frank Uthe. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife; a daughter, Karri Jo Briggs and her husband, Kevin Briggs, of Russell; two sons, Jason Smith and his wife, Shonna Smith, of Lineville and David Smith at home in Derby and his special friend, Amanda Cooper; three grandchildren, Madison and Chandler Briggs of Russell and Logan Smith of Lineville; two sisters Connie Glenn and her husband, Larry Glenn, of Osceola and Rita Audlehelm and her husband, Gary Audlehelm of Van Wert; two brothers, Mike Smith and his wife, Sherri Smith, of Allerton and Steve Smith and his wife, Judy Smith, of Weldon; as well as other family and a host of friends. A funeral Mass for Mr. Smith was Dec. 31 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chariton, the Rev. Father Bill Miller, C.P.P.S. Chariton, officiating. Vocalist Dennis Storm sang the musical selections, Love Me and Angels Among Us. Casket bearers were Frank Baker, Greg Gwinn, Ron Fouche, Gene Shanks, Dan Kent and Denny Rankin. Honorary bearers were Madison Briggs, Chandler Briggs, Logan Smith, Butch Glenn, Chris Smith, Joe Audlehelm, Creighton Smith, Kevin Hall, Russell Turner, Craig Stephenson, Mark Colton and Chase Dawkins. Interment was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Woodburn. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Arrangements were through Kale Funeral Homes at Osceola.1 He was buried at Saint Marys Cemetery, Woodburn, Clarke Co., Iowa.1 He was born on November 6, 1948 at Osceola, Clarke Co., Iowa.1 He married Sandra Marie Collins on September 18, 1971 at Chariton, Lucas Co., Iowa.1 Warren Joseph Smith died on December 28, 2001 at Derby, Lucas Co., Iowa, at age 53.1

     Larry Lee Glenn was buried at Maple Hill Cemetery, Osceola, Clarke Co., Iowa.2,3 He was born on September 1, 1936 at Clarke Co., Iowa.2,3 He married Connie Marie Smith, daughter of Warren Wesley Smith and Margaret Laurene Duree, on May 20, 1961.1,2,3 Larry Lee Glenn died on December 14, 2014 at Des Moines, Polk Co., Iowa, at age 78.2,3 He Larry Glenn, 78, of Osceola died Dec. 14, 2014, at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Services were 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St. The Rev. Chuck DeVos officiated. Interment was in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Larry Lee Glenn, son of Eva Mae (Leeson) and Rolla Raymond Glenn, was born Sept. 1, 1936, in Clarke County. Larry grew up and has lived most of his life in the Clarke County area. He was inducted into the U.S. Army on Oct. 4, 1960. On May 20, 1961, Larry married Connie Marie Smith, and he finished his time of service in the Army and was honorably discharged on Sept. 30, 1966. He achieved the expert marksman medal while in the Army. Larry and Connie raised their family in the Osceola area. Larry farmed. Larry raised Angus cattle with his brother under the name of Glenn and Sons Angus Farms. Larry's health declined, and he moved to Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola. Larry is survived by his daughter, Kelly (Gerry) Milne of Warroad, Minn., granddaughter Kyra (Jordan) Brownlee, great-granddaughter Teegin and great-grandson Braxton, all of Osceola; granddaughter Carlee (Gerry) Milne of Altoona; son Butch (Wendy) Glenn; grandsons, Josh and Noah Glenn, Sean (Whitney) Grisby, great-grandson Owen Grisby and Aaron (Beth)Grisby, great-grandson, Avery Grisby of Eads, Tenn; son Tony (Tonya) Glenn of Osceola; grandchildren, Kelsi, Stephanie, Ashley and Breanna Glenn, Brenden Kinyon, Joe Hagle and Ciara Hagle (Spencer Hysell) and great-grandchildren, Ryley and and Jemma Hysell of Osceola; son Jeff (Angela) Glenn of Osceola; grandchildren, Andrea, Brian, Kevin, Alicia, Emily and Kaitlyn Glenn of Osceola; son Scott (Vickie Mitchell) Glenn of Osceola, grandchildren, Kyle Glenn (Julie Griffen), Cortney Glenn, Jessica (Brandan) Soderblom, great-grandchildren, Olivia and Gunner, Christopher (Chelsea) Mitchell, great-grandchildren, Blake and Brantley and Tiffany McKnight of Osceola; daughter Heidi (Dale) Hembry and grandchildren, Cydney, Daylee and Shayla, all of Osceola; son Cory (Rachel) Glenn and grandchildren, Colton and Dallas Glenn of Osceola; as well as other relatives and a host of friends.
