Alvena Cook was born on February 8, 1922.^2,3 She died on July 17, 2013 at Wichita, Sedgwick Co., Kansas, at age 91.^2,3,1 She McClellan, J. Alvena, 91, retired customer service representative for Mid Kansas Federal Savings & Loan passed away July 17, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean R. McClellan; son, David Dean McClellan; great grandson, Ethan Kennedy; brothers, Bernard and Willard Cook. She is survived by her daughters, Beth (David) Prentice of Wichita, Connie (Bob) Kennedy of Derby; sister, Ellen Mullane of Sun City, AZ; grandchildren, Jeri Lyn, Gary, Anne, Nikki, Megan, Clint and 9 great grandchildren. Memorial service is 11 a.m. Friday, August 9 at Asbury United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Asbury United Methodist Church general fund. on July 21, 2013.¹
