He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army Air Corp where he served as a military policeman. He was a member of the former Assemblies of God (Mt. Olivet Road), a member of Post #7 American Legion and a member of the VFW Post, #1184, Pulaski, Va. Surviving are: brother and sister-in-law, Allan Paris and Thelma G. Lindsey, Pulaski; special niece, Joyce Whitt, Radford; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with the Minister Michael Foutz officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin with full military honors conducted by the Pulaski VFW Post #1184, The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. In lieu of flowers, thefamily asks that memorials in his honor be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauegard Street, Alexandria, Va. 22311. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski is handling the arrangements for the family. on October 26, 2004.2

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 2 at 11:00 a.m. from the Newbern Community Christian Church with Minister Ernie Depew officiating.
