     Neal Edward Manning was buried at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 5070 Cove Road N. W., Roanoke, Virginia.² He was born on January 24, 1933 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2 He died on February 16, 1970 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 37.²

     Thelma Lee Thurston was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.² She was born on August 3, 1926 at Roanoke, Virginia.¹ As of September 26, 1942,her married name was Manning.¹ She married Lewis Homer Manning, son of Hubert Edward Manning and Beulah A. Wimmer, on September 26, 1942 at Roanoke, Virginia.² Thelma Lee Thurston died on May 26, 2017 at Virginia at age 90.² She Thelma L. Manning, 90, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord Friday, May 26, 2017. She was preceded by her parents, David and Cora Arnold Thurston; husband, Lewis Manning; and grandchildren, Chad Manning and Christina Mullins. Mrs. Manning was a former resident of Edinburgh Square Apartments. Surviving are her children, Barbara Webb, Sandy Klein and husband Tom, Steven Manning, and Diane Martin and husband Donald; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Good Samaritan Hospice. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by the Rev. Dorothy Byrd. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at Simpson Funeral Home. on May 28, 2017.²

Manning, 69, of Roanoke, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Thelma Manning; and his only son, Chad Manning. Mr. Manning retired from Magic City Sprinkler after 30 years of service. He proudly served in the United States National Guard. Surviving are his daughters, Erin Manning and T.W., and Nikki Manning; a grandson; sisters, Barbara Webb, Sandy (Tom) Klein, Diane (Donnie) Martin; and former wives, Becky Manning and Linda Harlow; and nieces, nephews; and special friends too numerous to mention. on October 27, 2020.³

     Rebecca Lou "Becky" McGhee was buried at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens, 7271 Cloverdale Road, Cloverdale, Botetourt Co., Virginia.² She was born on January 1, 1958 at Anderson, Rush Co., Indiana.^1,2 As of July 4, 1982,her married name was Manning.¹ She married Steven Lewis Manning, son of Lewis Homer Manning and Thelma Lee Thurston, on July 4, 1982 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2 Rebecca Lou "Becky" McGhee and Steven Lewis Manning were divorced on May 22, 1996 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.³ Rebecca Lou "Becky" McGhee died on December 23, 2021 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 63.² She Rebecca L. "Becky" Manning, 63, of Roanoke, Va., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 23, 2021. She was born in Anderson, Indiana, daughter of the late Charles and Edna McGhee. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Terry McGhee and Doug McGhee; her sister, Karen Mills; stepson, Chad Manning; nephew, Dustin McGhee; and good friend and former husband, Steve Manning. Becky retired from Magic City Sprinkler as Vice President. She loved her family, dog, her friends and her favorite watering hole. Becky is survived by her two daughters, Nikki Manning and Erin Manning (T.W. Thornton); grandson, Logan McDonald; sister-in-law, Debra McGhee; her dog, Chomper D; best friend, Sheila Janney; two nieces; a nephew; and numerous other family members and special friends. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Pastor Milton Atkins officiating. Inurnment will follow at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. on December 29, 2021.²
