     Rhonda Lynn Atkinson Rhonda Lynn Weaver passed away at Lewis Gale Hospital on October 26, 2023, at the age of 61. Rhonda is predeceased by her father, Curtis Gordon Atkinson. Rhonda is survived by her mother, Virginia Atkinson; two sons: Deris (Brittany) Atkinson, Shane (Ashley) Phillips, loving grandchildren: Kiersten (Justin) Stogner, Brett Atkinson, Ahmie Arriaga, Curtis Phillips, Roxanne Phillips, William Atkinson, her 1st great grand-child; Lennon Stogner, many siblings; Curtis Gordon Atkinson II, Charles Atkinson, Carl (Janet) Atkinson, Jacob (Donna) Atkinson, Sherrie Hammerstrom, Vicki Barnett, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by two very close friends, Madeline Harris, and Shawna Ferrin. Rhonda Lynn Weaver was born at Elsworth Airforce Base in South Dakota on July 18th, 1962. She graduated from Franklin County in 1980. Rhonda enjoyed horseback riding. She liked art and enjoyed spending time drawing and coloring. She liked spending time playing card games with family. Her favorite game was mad libs. She was an avid animal lover.⁴ She was born on July 18, 1962 at Ellsworth Air Force Base, Pennington Co., South Dakota.^1,4 As of September 17, 1979,her married name was Phillips.¹ She married Jimmy Allen Phillips on September 17, 1979 at Roanoke, Virginia.¹ Rhonda Lynn Atkinson and Jimmy Allen Phillips were divorced on April 22, 1988 at Franklin Co., Virginia.⁵ As of July 30, 1988,her married name was Hodges.¹ Rhonda Lynn Atkinson married Harold Alton Hodges on July 30, 1988 at Franklin Co., Virginia.¹ As of June 5, 1998,her married name was Weaver.¹ Rhonda Lynn Atkinson married James William Weaver on June 5, 1998 at Franklin Co., Virginia.¹ Rhonda Lynn Atkinson died on October 26, 2023 at Virginia at age 61.⁴

Terry was a Vietnam Veteran with the United States Army, and worked as a letter carrier from 1970-2008 and retired from the Hollins Post Office. Terry is survived by his wife Vicki Atkinson Barnett; daughter, Monica Renee Gibbs; son, Michael David Flora; grandsons, Jacob Bradley Gibbs and Jonah Carson Flora; brother, Kevin Mark Barnett.      Harold Alton Hodges Harold A. Hodges “Pete”, age 72 of Glade Hill, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Catherine Hodges and brother, Dan Hodges. Surviving are his daughter, Lea Altizer; son, Greg Hodges; nine grandchildren including his caregiver, James D. Altizer; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Eames (Lee) and Gladys Taylor (Jimmy). She was retired from Signet Bank (previously Bank of Virginia) after many years of devoted service. Memaw will be remembered for her devotion and love for her family. She loved to work in her yard and spend time with her beloved dogs, Baby and Puggy. She will be sadly missed by her surviving family, husband of 53 years, Dillard L. Richards of Daleville; daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Paul Gluth of Daleville; son and daughter-in-law, David and Janet Richards of Daleville; granddaughters, Mary Catherine Deacon and husband, Mark of Daleville, and Nickie Dillon and husband, Robert of Roanoke; and great-grandchildren, Matthew, Maggie Lee, Katlyn, and Josh; also special neighbors, Danny and Amy Robertson; and Memaw's special caretaker, Theresa Huffman. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, August 11, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, with the Rev. Bob Hutchins officiating. Interment to follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel. on August 11, 2000.³
