Kenny started playing music at the age of four, and continued that passion through the years, his main instrument being the 5 string banjo. Kenny was known for his skilled Scruggs-style playing. Kenny was featured on the first LP Blue Grass album recorded in the United States which is now in the Smithsonian Institute and made appearances playing music with Bill & Charlie Monroe. He is survived by his wife; a son, Randy L. Miller and wife Teresa; four daughters, Carol A. Brown, Sharon A. Strohmaier and husband Wayne, Dorothy A. Stephens and husband, Keith and Lori A. Wright and husband Barry, all of the Rising Sun area; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Burial will follow at West Nottingham Cemetery in Colora, MD. on August 8, 2012.¹
